We all know and love the classics like Debaser, and Wave of Mutilation, but what are some of your favorites that aren't instatntly thought of as Pixies classics? Here's some that come to mind:
Brick is Red Hey Ana Lovely Day
Let's hope they remember these when preparing set lists for the upcoming tour! |

The beginning of Space (I believe in), it rocks out until the vocals start. Then I kind of lose interest. Lyrics are too apparent. |

I think most people think Hey is a great song... and No. 13 Baby is probably one of their best songs really. I don't give it enough credit MYSELF! Holiday Song is brilliant, I wasn't aware people underrated it. I love I Bleed and Blown Away too. I'm guilty of overlooking most of the others mentioned here, although I don't exactly deny they are good songs.
One for me is Tony's Theme... I really like it, yet I've seen quite a few people speak badly of it. |

Yeah, most of the songs listed are often grouped with their best. I think this is just going to turn into another (weekly) what's your favorite/least favorite pixies song topic. |

Motorway to Roswell. Does it get a bad rap? I know Trompe does at times. I think it's a spectacular song. |

Me neither,i like build high, especially after hearing a few of the early versions. I second the opinion of silver as an underated song,so many negatives vibes towards it aswell

I love Hey! I think it isn't underrated. Everybody loves it. I also like other weird songs:
- In Heaven - Letter to Memphis - Levitate Me - Is She Weird (At the BBC recording)
Frank said he hates "Tony's Theme", but I think it's not that bad... |

Not to be argumentative, but I really, really can't stand Hey. Something about the guitar, BF's singing, Kim's "change!" background vocals, hoo boy, it all just rubs me the wrong way. Sure, there are other tracks I'm not a big fan of, but I can't even listen to that one. I do agree that it's not underrated, as I've seen it listed on many "favorites" polls... I just don't get it.
Anyway, other than that, I do share your affinity for Levitate Me (the BBC version is possibly my favorite Pixies track). Another one of my favorites that I don't see mentioned much is I've Been Tired, and I'll second or third No. 13 Baby.
Overall, I think TLM is the most underrated album, with Bird Dream of the Olympus Mons being a particular standout for me, but even The Navajo Know is a good little ditty. I don't know why the record got the shaft on DttP. |

Underrated songs for me are:
Hang Wire Blown Away Lovely Day There Goes My Gun Oh My Golly I've Been Tired
These are songs I don't seem to hear much about that I think are awesome.
Good Topic.

Entirely possible. Alls I know is, I don't like it. :)
It does bother me when lyrics are misquoted (like the plethora of lyric pages that insist the line in Broken Face is "Whatever I say is only spit" when it's clearly "Where there were eyes, there's only space.") so I apologize to anyone I offended. |

I particularly love to listen to Palace of Brine/Letter to Memphis. It's an excellent transition from one to the other. Apart they're fine, but I would love to hear them back to back live. |

I'm with tworeelers on this. I Bleed, Bird Dream of the Olympus Mons and Brick Is Red.
And if we're counting the number of songs mentioned, I'll add Cactus and Velvety Instrumental Version to the list. |

I really like Tony's Theme, too. Kim's vocals, the lyrics are funny, and it (dare I say) flat out rocks.

Three things: 1. I would like to be the fifth to say that Santo is underrated. It's my favorite. 2. Chess Piece Face, as PixiesSteve already said, I think it's "chained." Maybe if you listened to it with that in mind it would rub you the RIGHT way, cause I know it rubs the hell out of me. (P.S. Nice name. Not enough TMBG references on this forum.) 3. Shakey Shake, I wouldn't be surprised if 100% of the Pixies songs made it on here, mainly because the Pixies are, overall, an underrated band. Am I right?

I think I would agree with "Tony's Theme" being underrated. It's a pretty fun song, especially the opening.
As for TMBG, they also have a song called "Dead," although it's absolutely nothing like the Pixies song of the same name. Since "Dead" is the fifth song on TMBG's Flood, though, I sometimes think the song of the same name is the fifth track on Doolittle, but it isn't. I'd say Doolittle holds pretty much the same place in the Pixies' body of work as Flood does in TMBG's, though.
