Say there interloper. Great link! I plan on DLing some boots of my (by far) favorite comedian, so thank you.
Let me ask if you know...is there anything on Philosophy, LL&T, Flying Saucer, or Shock & Awe that isn't on the other 4 CDs (that I already own)? I'm a fan & all and I have no problem paying up but not if they're just remixes. Know wut I mean? Thx again.

I honestly have no idea. I get whatever I can of his, and I tend to hear a lot of the same bits. I don't care, I'll get all I can. I love the man, what can I say....The Chicago 91 recording is especially good, and seemingly full of stuff that, as far as I can tell, isn't on the official releases. Either way, it breaks my heart that he's not around anymore. The world could really use more people like him. He's dark and angry to some people, but to me, the guy had a heart bigger than most. It's that whole "dissapointed idealist" thing again.
Oh shit, I almost forgot. You all have to check this site, it's where I ran into the info leading to the Bill Hicks ftp....

This is incredible! It's basically a show trader site. All of the shows are there as attachments, and they consist of some type of new audio file format (actually, a few different kinds) that's a lossless compression type of thing (these folks hate mp3's, cause well, mp3 quality is not really quality audio because so much of the sound has been taken out during encoding in order to make it so small). You'll have to do a bit of reading to figure it out. You have to get freeware to decode the files to a listenable wav format. The whole thing is a bit confusing, but once you get it all straight, you won't believe the stuff you find. Talking Heads 77, Devo 77, recent Radiohead, Miles Davis 1970....I'm geekin my friends.
And thank you Mr. Moderator for the link fix, I don't know why it wouldn't work.
