What happened? Was there another moderator-editing incident? If there was none and Goddess is just being funny (good pic from a good movie btw), then please forgive my upcoming rant.
But folks, you need to understand, that whatever freedom of expression/speech you may enjoy in the real world...such freedom does not enter into it here in this forum. This is a privately owned and operated chunk of the internet; its content exists wholly at the whim of said owners. You are under no obligation to post here. If you'd like to start a forum where anything goes, there's positively nothing stopping you. Off you go.

Incidentally, the film "1984" was Richard Burton's very last picture. Cyril Cusack also has a terrific supporting role. It won Best Picture and Best Actor (John Hurt) at the Evening Standard British Film Awards in 1985. So if you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor!

Yeah. But sometimes life is too.
Sometimes you think things are moving along swimmingly and then you get sucked into a whirlpool.
Sometimes you think that someone tattooed "Kick my ass as hard as possible" on your back and backless shirts are in style.
Sometimes the places you go and the things you liked to do all turn out to be worthless and the cold steel barrel of a gun starts to taste better than any kiss you've ever recieved.
Sometimes life is anticlimactic.

Jedi Rollers are, or were, an obscure rock/hip hop South African band, from Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape. I had the pleasure of meeting frontman Hagen Engler a few times - he was a friend of a friend. Nice guy - lekker oke, if you prefer :-)
So I thought I'd steal his band's name. It's an homage, really.

Because, GoddessTheory, it seemed (to me) as though you suggested that you have done it more than once by saying, "And the cold steel barrel of a gun starts to taste better than any kiss you've ever recieved."
The word "starts" suggests (to me) that it never used to taste better before, but now it is beginning to . But I can see that is obviously not how you intended it to come across.
Must say though, that it was a bit of a cheesy line!!! Sounds like a line from a really bad film!!!

fozzie bear... haha, brings back memories, there used to be a guy who hung around with us at high school, he was called something foster (i've protected his first name you see), so he got called fozzie bear... he didn't like it much, obviously.
