Loganz, already mailed him. He was supposed to be crashing at my house. Offer is extended to anyone else who needs shelter. Of course I asked him for the ticket if he doesn't need it.
He was supposed to help carry me home. Damn! |

I thought I would re-post this. Matt has offered to give a pair of tickets to anyone who wants to drive from Winnipeg to the show in Mpls. If I lived in Winnipeg, this would be a no-brainer. From what I understand, the offer still stands.
From a street-value perspective, it's like being offered 500 bucks for 12 hours of driving. Anyway I thought I would bump this offer to the top...

| Based on the pissing and moaning heard for weeks on the Minneapolis thread from people desperate for tickets, a Winnipeg person passing up this offer would be akin to refusing to eat your lima beans while kids are starving in Ethiopa. Except that I'd take the Pixies over all the lima beans in the world any day. Throw in the possible historic significance of the Minneapolis show, and by all rights Matt should be in the unfortunate position of having to turn down a flood of offers. |

Or maybe it should be re-posted in the other Winnipeg thread? Heck, it deserves a thread of its own. The deal of the century, I tell you.
And I still find it somewhat mind-blowing that not one of these Minneapolis folks who are supposedly in life-and-death crises of needing tickets have offered to drive the extra 16 hours (12 hours?) to take Matt up on this deal. |

I have already said that I will drive and pick Matt up on general priciple, after all he has done for the people on this board wanting tickets. This would mean driving to Winnipeg and back twice in 3 days -- so needless to say it would be nice if someone who actually lives in Winnipeg went for it...
And I agree, the Pixies are way better than lima beans.

I'm terribly excited about the Winnipeg show. In fact, as I just mentioned to mattb, this will be extra special for me. I had always said that if I got to see the Pixies live, that I could die happy. Though I don't see myself dying anytime soon, I thought it was funny that earlier today I had a surgery scheduled for April 15th in Sioux Falls, SD. Though it's a simple surgery (bit of bone grafting and a steel plate or two) I said to myself "hey, what if I never come out of the surgery? What if they can't wake me up?!" And I realized that though that would suck unbelievably, I would know that less than twelve hours before that I had finally gotten to see the Pixies, and that's cool. Am I a sick son of a bitch?

I look forward to seeing some of you at the concert. I won't be getting there early enough to join you at the pre-show festivities, but I'll try to introduce myself if I see you at the concert. I'll know what some of you look like based on the pictures that have been posted. As for me, my computer skills are too lame to do any posting of pictures. The only picture posting I can do is if it involves an actual picture and a thumbtack. Oh well...but anyway, I'm looking forward to the concert.

| Okay... just realized I'm too late. See... I have to see this concert. I completely have to, last summer I was talking to my friend Jason, and I was saying how I wish I had've been born way earlier, so I could see the pixies live. And then I hear they're touring again? I couldn't beleive it. Me and my friend were going to drive all the way from toronto to winnipeg, but the thing is. Tickets? Is it still possible to get them? Does anyone have extras? A friend sick, dead, suddenly unable to enjoy music due to a tragic boating accident, I don't know. But if ANYONE has 2 extra tickets for ANY reason. And just about ANY price (uh oh... gouge away) please please please Email me. |

They're not so expensive on eBay these days. If you're willing to pay "any" price ... I mean, a fourth-row seat went up for a $100 minimum bid the other week, and nobody even bid on it.
I'll put you on the list though. And Spleen told me today he's out.

| On the bright side, you're second on the list. On the not-so-bright side we've been doing this list for a few weeks and gone through a lot of people with extras, so it's possible we've bled that source pretty dry. But you never know. |
