O.K. here goes....I Love Frank Black,have all his stuff and see him every time he's in NYC or the outlying areas. And The Catholics are a smokin' band. But his work w/ The Pixies was in another stratosphere. I mean, he's such a great songwriter that his post-Pixies material is superior to almost anybody around. But The five releases from 1987-1991 were AWESOME. If u compare those 5 to the 7 or so of his solo output there's NO contest! And , after seeing The Breeders twice in 2002, the specialness if Kim Deal shone thru. So, I can't wait for FB and the C's next tour....but, if there's even the slightest chance of a Pixies reunuion, I say..."YEAH, BABY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| I gotta say, the Pixies are my favorite band ever; I got FB's first solo album when it came out, and 'though some songs really struck me, it took a few listens to really get into. TOTY was cool...I thought he went a bit wayward after that, but I've been getting back into him lately(obviously, 'else I would'nt be posting on this site). |
