Well I've been away this past week didn't even notice until just now there's two more songs. Dig this one big time as well especially the shuffly drumbeat from David, gives me a Pilgrim feel. Five songs in and this album is really shaping up nicely.
When I heard it for the first time in St. Paul last night, I had a brief "What the...?" moment. Not in a bad way, but just in how much it caught me off guard!
I didn't think so, but I might have missed something there. Maybe someone who's seen the YouTube videos can clarify? (I avoided them too, pretty much.)
Hmm... sounds like that one was having trouble hanging together. Probably hard to time up with the sample or whatever it is they’re using. Like when The Who would do Baba O Reily live back in the day.
I had a bad reaction to your public hobby writings.

It's gonna take a little while for this one to get its groove locked in.
The problem is FBF's acoustic strumming pattern not synching up with David's rhythm of 32nd notes on the high-hat.
Until they get that whip-tight, the whole thing will sound sloppy and wonky.
Note that as soon as David stops the two-handed pattern on the high-hat for the bridge and choruses, everything sounds fine...
