Alright... I'm really sad to see 'Indie Cindy' go. It was a song that took a lot of risks and had a stunningly (IMO) beautiful chorus. Oh well. there's really not too much left out there that takes risks. Not really feeling what's left would make a good Pixies record.

| I'll wait to place my round 8 vote this time. Really, I am just in *shock* that "Indie Cindy" was cut before something like "Women of War" or "All I think About Now". Those just sound like one-off throw-aways to me. |

Well my favorite song of the 2.0 era is gone, and along with it Indie Cindy, a song which I feel never reached its potential. Is the best of 2.0 better than the worst of 1.0? I don't know.
I feel lame voting down Baal's Back for the 8th round in a row, so this time I'm voting down Oona. |

| And yeah Indie Cindy is up there with the best in my opinion. A couple of rubbish lyrics but otherwise punchy and an amazing chorus. Again though, it goes on a little too long. Still, it's a travesty something mundane like AITAN beats it. |

I would have loved Baal's Back and Andro Queen with the production on Women of War (very nice drums and guitar sound, better than whole IC)
But I prefer Baal's Back and Andro Queen as songs

So, what do we think about this now? We have 12 tracks that (theoretically) represent the "best" of Pixies 2.0. Does it feel like a solid collection of songs? Or a deformed horse?

Basically we're left with the entire Head Carrier album, minus the two most controversial songs that disappointed many MTFers (Talent and Tenement, though it's true a few here like them like crazy), and with the addition of two random IC tracks (Magdalena and Boom), which in my opinion are quite better than Talent and Tenement. I'm only a mild fan of Magdalena (of the album version particularly), but I rank Boom and Oona as part of my personal Top5 of Pixies 2.0
