Did everyone receive an email that your order shipped? I ordered the deluxe CD, the vinyl and the EP vinyl and have not heard a word.

i received an email too. i ordered the same things (ep, lp, deluxe cd). and it has arrived yesterday. just picked it up from the post office. they also threw in a "women of war" single. (haven't had the time to look into it any further.)
i'm in belgium though. they probably have different parties handling the EU and the US orders.

Thanks guys. I never received an email but I reached out to the company yesterday and they said the order shipped out yesterday. I think the company they used for the first two EP's worked smoother for me. I still went out yesterday and bought the CD at Bestbuy for $8 yesterday anyway. Need to check my account and see if the money has actually come out yet.

Exact same thing happened to me, for what it's worth. They gave me a tracking number as well. |

Do all vinyl copies come with a copy of the album on cd? Didn't someone, who bought the album on Record Store Day, say there was no cd in their copy?
Also, are all vinyl copies 45rpm (instead of the normal LP speed of 33 rpm)? And are they all heavyweight vinyl double LPs? Or does a 1LP version at 33 rpm also exist?
I checked my copy of the LP, and Bagboy is indeed the original single version (that also appears on EP3). The cd however contains the alternate version, with less "cover your breath cover your teeth".

Nothing to do with the vinyl if I'm honest but I saw this acoustic Silver Snail on Pixies Twitter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJMfmbjDenc
More confirmation that they're absolutely smashing it live right now. PL swapping the bass for a violin suggests they have the confidence to use her as more than a Kim Deal stand-in, which is positive. Wouldn't be surprised if a set-up a little more like this carries over into the next set of studio sessions.
Feels like the band's undergone a pretty substantial transformation since Indie Cindy was recorded. They seem in a really positive headspace for the most part, and I think we're on track for something great. |

Mine came in the mail today: the vinyl came with the CD inside, and the Women of War 7" was in the mailer box - I wasn't expecting that - did anyone else receive that? I ordered from pixiesmusic and not AmaZon. Also the vinyl says it was manufactured in the EU (and shipped from Carlsbad, CA). I find that odd because Amazon's selling both regular and "import" vinyl versions - are there US-made ones as well?

that's how my vinyl arrived: vinyl with cd inside, sealed, and the women of war 7" added to the mailer box. everyone who ordered directly off pixiesmusic.com got that women of war 7".
weird that you go the EU release, even though you're in the US. i have no idea if there is a US version. i would guess so, but who knows? does anyone have a US release of the LP?

it might be possible to order it online though, on fnac.com. i haven't tried that yet.

i got the orange vinyl release! it's for sale here, on the french site, as a fnac.com exclusive: http://musique.fnac.com/a7079892
however, i found out that you can also buy it on the belgian fnac website (which i did), but only if you set the website language to french: http://www.fr.fnac.be/a7079892 the item does not seem to exist on the dutch version of the website. very strange.
the black vinyl release is available on both versions of the site: http://www.fr.fnac.be/a7079905 and http://www.nl.fnac.be/a7079905

Best selling! Congrats Pixies!! This album is only going to go up in stature through the years. Just like Bossanova and Trompe.

"Most songs I hear today are over-produced. It's all the same. It could be a Top 10 hit or a dog food commercial. I can't tell." (Frank Black - MTV News.)
Indie Cindy anyone? I hope the next album is under produced so you can hear the songs. |

He's right...
Indie Cindy is a very nice demonstration about how to ruin a very nice record through overcompression.
Only advantage I can see: it sounds OK when I listen to it through my car crappy lowcost speakers. Maybe that was the objective...?

Yeah... well, the point of a final mastering is to make a record sound good on a vast variety of systems. Definitely not the case here. (some tracks does not even sound good through headphones...).
