All I knows is when I saw The Breeders twice in December in NYC, they were excellent. Enjoyed it as much as, if not more than the Pixies shows in Sept (but not more than January shows....with PAZ) |

Tobaccos is another substance that will ruin a woman's appearance.
I don't think people are white knighting Kim, so much as just expressing disgust at your seemingly one-note criticism and focus on Kim.

This is correct.
I'm a huge fan of the Pixies and Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are two of my favorite albums of all time. I also love almost everything Kim does. I loved Pod and the Amps record and Last Splash. I think her songwriting is something very special. I don't really have a personal stake in the discussion other than being a fan of the music of all involved and being grossed out by the casual sexism that's part of trying to knock Kim down. I like that she looks like she's lived hard and I respect that she got all the way clean and sober. I'm extraordinarily excited about the prospect of an LSXX lineup new album. I wish the Pixies all the best and keep an open ear although I haven't liked the new material.
Also, if I had to choose a Breeder to sleep with, it would be Jim. |

Kim's new single is cool and weird. I like it.
And she's very likely not seething over the Pixies tour. She WANTED to leave the band. She's a wealthy woman and an independent artist who's doing her own thing and working at her own pace and probably doesn't care much about what people like most of you think about it. Does she have any personal web presence at all, even?
And Frank's likely not gloating or even thinking much about Kim Deal lately, except when he's asked about it in every interview and has to repeat the story. He's busy with his own shit. |
