WHO'S EXCITED ABOUT PIXIES 2.0?!
1. sad punk on new set list
2. Pixies do 25th anniversary TOTY tour in 2014 with kyle workiman and EDF!!!!
3. pixies add bluefinger songs and other fb/bf gems to pixies tour setlist
4. oodles and oodles of brand new pixies material in next 5 years...the floodgates have been opened!!
5. pixies world tour makes a tour stop in winnipeg and frank brings the band over to fumanbru's for a pong tourny. fumanbru wins.
6. kok returns to the board...adds solid commentary to conspiracy theory links..but unfortunately loses another bet....drinks urine
7. fissle gets new gossip on kim 2...gets carried away...eats tampon
8. private show hosted by band for all fb.net board members who have been members before 2013 in jamaica or somewhere sunny and hot in january or february.
9. pixies record a reggae album

Charles may need to squeeze in a few hours there to continue raising a family. Pixiefied TOTY/Bluefinger songs'd be sweet - though I can't see the band tailoring to our nerdish desires. Who knows - they did perform All Around The World.

-balloon and Cheerios sales soar as a result of Bag Boy hysteria in the fall of 2013
-the boy who plays Bag Boy experiences his first dental cavity in 2014
-Kim Shattuck and Dave Lovering conceive a child together whilst on tour which then grows up to become a world renouned rocket science and gains the Nobel Physics prize in 2061 for proving that warp drive technology is feasible
-early in the 22nd century a humanoid species with pointy ears no taller than 2 feet in height are discovered deep in the Tasmanian jungle, sparking a revival in Pixies music which had long since been forgotten since the 2060s. This results in an unprecedented re-emergence of Pixies style music which continues well into the first half of the next century. A new band called the Pixies is formed who go on to be as successful as the Pixies of today, and they claim their name and sound to be original. No-one challenges them but the most knowledgable of music pundits from that time, and this does little to inhibit their continuing success. |

-Space pod containing Pixies material is launched in 2021, with the aim of sending out into space an assortment of cultural artifacts, pending a series of earthquakes around Yellowstone Park which suggest there could be a supervolcanic eruption about to happen potentially wiping out the entire human race, in the hope that at least if it happens recorded knowledge of all the best parts of humanity and human creativity are preserved and might be intercepted by a space travelling race in the future.
-It is now the year 2401 and the human race still exists, either this year or 2501 will see the Earth invaded by mad alien Pixies fans from a nearby exo-planet who have just discovered a way to scan the entire galaxy for silicon based technology etc.. and recently intercepted the space pod sent in 2021 and totally love the first 5 pixies albums, although they will assume it's 4. |

| -time travel is invented in the year 2990, but it is illegal and controlled by criminal organisations. One of them is a huge Pixies fan, the only one left in the world at that time and she decides to travel back in time to the year 1886 for some reason, but inadvertently leaves her iPod lying around. Noone knows what it is and the battery has run out + electricity hasn't quite been invented yet then. It is eventually kept by a widow who lives alone and used it as a benign sexual aid. iPods are larger in the future, owing to the accumulative increase in recorded music archives and also because the human race evolves to be 1 1/2 times the size they are now on average. |

| In the summer of 2014, after Obama has been abducted by aliens the new Pixies mk 2.0 record a Daytrotter session with the new Kim mk 2.0 and it turns out to be nearly their best work ever, eventually splitting Pixies fans into two camps- the old fans and the new fans (with a small percentage liking both periods in their recorded history) |

Good work pot! Way to think outside of the box.
I just went for a morning jog. Got a few more ideas\predictions\christmas wishlist.
-after hugely successful toty world tour in 2014, band takes toty musical to broadway. Show wins numerous tony awards.
-band incorporates dave lovering pickle magic into new shows. Positive reviews.
-dean and brian do a new podcast where fissle interviews kim deal.

I think some of them are more likely than Fissile interviewing Kim Deal though, unless Fissile is actually David letterman or someone else from the TV pretending to be a normal person...?
I'd like to hear that anyway.

new pixies material released as an album with similar fanfare as Jane's Addiction's Strays and receives marginal critical acclaim - uber-fans still rejoice
Second new Pixies album released 8 months later to even less critical acclaim and Kim 2.0 develops severe inferiority complex as new Breeders album outsells new Pixies by a landslide. new Kim develops substance and alcohol abuse problems while refusing to seek professional help - meanwhile the band tours on....empty seats become more commonplace at Pixies show and band members begin to burnout.
it takes an untimely death for Pixies to finally get the cover of the Rolling Stone; ironically, this issue is the final print edition as RS business model is revisited and is moved to online only. remaining members record a 7" single of a pixiefied versions of "The Day the Music Died" b/w "Cover of the Rolling Stone" - all proceeds to benefit the fallen members' orphans and/or critical illness research fund that claimed his/her life.
after very limited gigging towards the end of this decade with different "superstars" filling in for the passed member; Pixies begin regaining popularity, casino circuit welcomes Pixies in the early 20s. occasional Sunday night appearances at Summer Festivals as headliners.
Pete Doherty miraculously outlives all members.

-in 2025 Pixies release a tribute album of The Music to The Monty Python Flying Circus, entitled Always Look On The Bright Side Of Olympus Mons and is surprise debuted to the world, via QUDRW or quantum uncertainty digital radiowaves from the latest Mars Rover that has just landed there. It causes the entire internet to go down half way through due to demand, and is met with some ridicule and later slated by critics only to then become readily dismissed and forgotten.
-2026 Robert Smith records an EP with the Pixies. Again no-one knows about it until after it has happened. It turns out to be the best music ever in the entire universe, selling a record 27 billion copies on iTunes within the first day or release. |

In 2044, a clever kid discovers Pixies with Trompe le Monde. It helps opening his mind to a certain conception of music from the last century. He has the good idea of not joining the Frank Black Forum (or at least not having a look at this ambarrassing topic...) ;)

| -crackpot scientist in 5747 invents a device that can alter the present by randomly changing small events in the distant past. Seemingly disparate random events are linked throughout the course of history, according to the theory of sub-dimesional fractal quantum displacement, or something. Anyway, someone in the future buys one of these things and uses it to alter his present in some way, and in the process causes the iPod sent back in time from 2990 to 1886 to have a fully charged battery, as opposed to a dead one. The music of the Pixies is then heard by a local bluegrass outfit and greatly influences their style. They call themselves the Hayseed Pixies and play cover versions of Pixies songs that have not yet been written, and become a major success in the early 1990's going on to influence and alter the music of Led Zepellin and The Doors. The real Pixies which we know of today and love cease to exist and Frank Black becomes a famous graphics artist doing album covers for the likes of Sonic Youth and Primal Scream. A band called The Altars is formed in 1988 featuring Kim, Joey, Dave and the new Kim. |
