Hello fellow Charles lovers. I havent been here for ages so please pardon this naive query. Is Frank's current tour just him, solo, and without a band. Thanks!!!!!!!!! |

The last tour was just BF and his guitar. And if Paley was there as support the two of them would play three or four songs at the end of BF's set.
Probably the same set-up again. |

I read your topic but don't know if he's solo or with a band, or Reid or Jeremy Dubs on drums.
I prefer Frank with a band, preferably the Catholics.
From what I've heard, he's worth seeing even if it's just him and six glorious strings. |

I saw the show last night (5/13) at the Birchmere in VA. Great set for a fan of Frank's full catalogue. He played stuff from Pixies, solo stuff, Catholics stuff...everything. It was a great set; he seemed to be enjoying it.
Reid Paley opened the show and came out for encore to close the set. Frank performed for about an hour with an electric guitar which he played as his only accompaniment. He played a seemingly random selection of his tunes. No band at all.

Yes, he did play one or two that I didn't know. I assumed they were new tunes. I wish I wrote the set list down, but was too busy enjoying the show and sipping a drink.
I am familiar with that chewing tobacco...no, I did not name myself after it. |
