^good film that. I watched it with my Gran when I was 8 years old, which is kind of weird because she never used to let me watch Grange Hill or Top Of The Pops.
I'm old enough to remember the Reagan/Thatcher era. I remember seeing Made in Britain on PBS, which is roughly the American equivalent of the BBC. The movie really made a lasting impression on me....and I became a lifelong fan of Tim Roth. One of the most astonishing scenes in that movie, for me at least, was the scene where Tim Roth is running through a tunnel screaming abuse at passing motorists. One of the cars was a Chevrolet Suburban. I was like, WTF? That's something I would never expect to see on a motorway in the UK.
I also remember all the great punk music that came out of the UK at that time. The pure vitriol and malevolence was fantastic.
