Formerly(?) of Miracle Legion...Does anyone else like him? His two solo albums (Fathering and Smilesunset) are two of the best albums I've ever heard. The guy is a true songwriting genius and love just exudes from every one of his songs. I've been listening to Smilesunset pretty much every day, several times a day, for the past two weeks, and I have yet to tire of it, much like Frank Black. I believe he's got a new record coming out next spring, which I am really looking forward to. Anyways, if you haven't heard him, you should definitely check him out. And if you aren't very impressed with Miracle Legion, don't worry because his solo material is on a completely different level from his Miracle Legion stuff. In fact, I don't believe it is possible not to like his solo albums, especially Smilesunset.

You may know that Scott Boutier and Mc Whatever were members of Miracle Legion...

No--MARK MULCAHY solo. I like Miracle Legion, but everyone should definitely check out Mark Mulcahy's solo career.

Man, I still need to check out Miracle Legion...dang it
On a tangential note, cool to see that ramona's blog is still occasionally active...one of the more interesting FBF regulars. |
