It's not the funniest thing to try thougt.
it's funnier to sing horribely like or David Lee Roth or Louis Amstrong.
Except if you're chris morris.

I'm not bad at it. He's closer to my range than most fuckers. I'm better at Julian Cope or Elvis Costello though.

I can't quite hit "to motor West" in the shower, which causes me no end of frustration.

I don't try to sing like Frank. I've only once sang part of an FB song outside of the shower
or my car, scared the hell out of people belting out the high part of Olympus Mons. I don't
know if I can get there consistently anymore.

I can't hit 'She's like jellyroll, like sculptcha'. It's the line I always have a go at but never get anywhere near. I love the dip and rise in the way he sings it.

I must have lost my mind when I heard Franks cover of Duke of Earl. With acoustic guitar (trying to play like Frank too) I dug deep, and failed every time.

there's a lot of reverb on that record and you can only get near that performance if you too use it, but in absence of proper recording environment and equipment the best you can do to mimic that reverb is to use a large room with hard smooth surfaces, like marble or ceramic tile, like in a large (say public) lavatory. to enhance the effect it helps to bend over the sink and face into it, close your eyes and SING. it's best to wear the guitar strap a bit loose so that it's below the sink and not in the way.
with time it'll get a lot easier to ignore the sounds of other users flushing and the concern over their puzzled minds wondering whether you're serenading to sewer rats. and a chance recording by some of them could even start something new, go viral and stuff.

I have a whole recording I did once upon a time of a friend playing FB on guitar and both of us singing along. When I put it into iTunes, I wrote "We'd Rather Not Say" in the artist field...

... that said, you've heard our cover of There Goes My Gun.

Hardest Frank song to sing (for me, at least): "Living on Soul". That bridge where Frank goes back-and-forth between high notes and lower notes is beyond me. It's a really cool part of the song, though.

I love to sing King and Queen of Siam - might be my fav to sing. I like to think I'm not far off given that I'm the vocalist for my band - but I'm sure it sucks ass.

I bet the chorus of Steak N Sabre is one that most of us try. I know I do, and again I get nowhere near it. Boy that Frank can sing!

"King and Queen of Siam" is such a good song. I bet it's actually not that easy to sing, with all the "I do, do, do, doooo"'s and what not.

I still suspect that somebody, somewhere, has attempted to sing "Tame" in the shower.

Any attempt to sing Tame in my house would probably result in the police showing up for suspected domestic violence.

Maybe that's how he wrote it, didn't he just scream stuff into a bathroom mirror or something? I'm sure I saw that in an old interview once, not sure how true it is.

I used to have a go at Bailey's Walk all the time. In fact I can be heard shouting the opening lyric in that video of BF being carted away by the Gardaí (police) after the Dublin precore.
