So psyched. Been waiting to hear about a chance to go see BF this year.
I will be in Harrisburg on 2-10. I hope he plays some Golem or NME and not the same set I heard during the 2009 tour but either way I'm happy. |

Told you there won't be any new Pixies. The Helsinki is a small supper club, maybe a capacity of a couple hundred. He uses the Pixies as an ATM so he can continue with his solo hobby. every time people get mad at fissile I imagine him sitting back in his chair, in his basement room, grinning victoriously, letting out a malicious guffaw. one hand on his mouse pad, the other gently stroking the razor sharp tip of one of his Chinese stars.
then his demeanor quickly changes to an icy cold scowl as he realizes he will have to leave the basement to go buy feed for his pet lizards and ferrets. slowly he gets up and puts his trench coat over his pop tart stained pajamas. putting a rubber band in his hair and smoothing out his pony tail with the ample pre-existing hair grease. and slowly ambling his way up the basement steps

You don't know how wrong you are. First off, I've got one hand on my mouse and the other hand in my pants. I'm not in the basement, I'm in the spare room upstairs where I've got my computer and a telescope next to the window....there's a community college girl who lives across the street who never pulls down the blinds. I haven't got any lizards, I've got a pet python and I feed it live squirrels I trap in the backyard. I haven't had pop tarts since I was a kid, I prefer Trader Joe's Organic Frosted Toaster Pastries. No pony tail, but I do have a goatee, and my usual ensemble is a pair of Levis, and a Northface fleece jacket (even in summer).
I couldn't find any dirt on Kim today, but I did find out that Kelley took a job at a funeral parlor.

He's played Club Cafe twice now and I missed him both times. First time we (my girl and I) waited too long and didn't have tickets. Went down anyway and managed to get one from someone. Being the gentleman I am, I decided not to ditch her and go into the show without her, although she said she wouldn't mind. Next time we were out of town.
This time, you bet your sweet ass I'll be there. Have my tickets, ready to go. Finally. I haven't seen him (other than with the Pixies several years ago) since a Catholics show in '03 (I think, might have been '02). The club is a very very tiny little joint. My band has played there a few times and it's about as intimate as it gets. This is gonna be awesome.
