floop what do you make of eat challenges? Hardcore or the soft stuff like Man V Food. I saw Adam Richman down four ghost chillis. Was watchable.

not a fan if eating contests. or that man vs food show. I do like cooking shows and I like Anthony Boutdain's shows a lot. watching people eat tons of food is unappealing to me. and I kind of find that man v food guy to be annoying

on paper I am impressed with that famous Japanese guys eating endeavors

My fingers are tingling, nearly burning from the habaneros and some other thin, green hot pepper I chopped up for my stir fry. Onions, habaneros, other hot peppers, cashews, tomatoes, mushrooms & rice, fried up in olive oil.

I got some veggie pad thai last night and asked for medium spicy. When I got home I discovered they'd forgotten to spice it up. I put it in the fridge and am throwing that in with some broccoli, habaneros, other hot peppers and some peanuts tonight.

Not eating it now, worked tonight so I had brazilian but last night I grilled scallops. I am now obsessed with grilling scallops. Cook'em a little longer than you would fish and they just get sweeter. Awesome. Used a charcoal grill and brushed some apricot on for the hell of it.

burgers made of quinoa and broccoli, veggie rice, stewed sweet cabbage. was very good. (i'm not immune to hunger bias though)

2013 has been declared the international year of quinoa by the UN. infidels beware.

What do you use to bind the quinoa and broccoli? Actually, how did you make it, sounds good...

Grape Nuts and vanilla granola in almond milk.

i've been lifting weights and running lately (is that the written equivalent of making a gesture just to show off a muscle, floop?), so i've found good company in protein-rich cereals mix with a little flavor enhancer in the form of Trader Joe's versions of fruit loops, frosted flakes (which isn't a trademarked name, in case you weren't aware), and honey nut cheerios.
and the almond milk (trader joe's) is cuz lactose gives me messy shits. hence my less than enthusiastic participation in the frankblack.net commode ledger committee.

I made a chick pea salad last night. All crunchy vegetables no leaves, well except parsley. I'm not sure how I feel about parsley. It seems to add something. Like when you tell people you made food and you say "a little parsley". The secret to the recipe is "freshly squeezed lime juice". See what I mean?

wouldn't it take longer for a harder crust?

also, do you really call pizza, pizza pie? just curious. seems kinda redundant. like if you called a burrito a tortilla-wrapped burrito. or a hamburger a hamburger sandwich

soft crust requires a baking sheet between the pizza pie and the rack. hard crust is like going bare back....it's riskier.

your comment reminds me of the episode of newsradio where joe played "dumb" with a hottie to get in her pantalons; he kept referring to his NY Yankees jacket as his "yankee-jacket-coat", man that show is/was underrated.

back on topic, going for a fruit shake. maybe i should put that in the drinking thread???
