It's a toss between Parry The Wind and Adda Lee. But I'll say Adda Lee. This song is just nuts. A million ideas crammed in less than 2 minutes.

Adda Lee is a contender, absolutely. i could probably have said Adda Lee and been happy with that choice. i feel like Don't Ya Rile Em is like a mature fine wine. i don't think i appreciated it as much during the initial Yellow release. it's one of those songs that as you grow older and become wiser, you realize it is the best song on the album (besides Los Angeles). it has an Homeric epic quality. man's journey through space and time, and his own soul. only the truly enlightened ones - who have lived through many experiences and journeyed to different parts of the world, and to different parts of their own soul - can truly understand Don't Ya Rile Em

Adda Lee has never been a favourite of mine. I have to agree with floop on this one, although I actually think Don't Ya Rile 'Em is the best song including Los Angeles. So I guess I'm not really agreeing with floop, oh well.

Never paid attention to DYRE before. I'll check it out.
Come on, no love for Parry The Wind? What about that coda?

Finding it tremendously difficult to pick just one song. Parry The Wind High Low, DYRE, Los Angeles and Old Black Dawning would be my favourites. Out of those I've probably played Parry the most, so maybe that. |

I almost don't hear separate songs on this album. After Los Angeles, it's like one big long delicious wall of sound. |

So many good songs on that record... "Everytime I go around here" is also a really beautiful one, gets to me every time. |

Reading this thread makes me want to listen to the album again, that is just an amazing record. I don't think there's a song on there I don't enjoy, just ones I like a lot and others I love. It's great to listen straight through...
I agree with Denis on Adda Lee, it's an epic song in two minutes, but I don't know what the best song on there is.
Oh...it's definitely orange to me.

lately for my car commute to work i've been busting out oldies but goodies. was listening to Surfer Rosa for a solid 2 weeks or so. re-living my commute to high school. nothing better than some seriously strong coffee and blasting some Surfer Rosa
anyway, this past week it's been Yellow. and i've had Don't Ya Rile Em on repeat
feels good man

The first time I saw Frank headline with the Catholics, he pulled out "Everytime..." to calm the crowd down. I've heard the full band Brackish Boy on a bootleg and it's great, taking an already awesome song and...i don't know...cubing it. |

Your post just helped me decide.
Witnessing this song played live is a favourite memory amongst many therefore Ten Percenter is the best song. Los Angeles is the most yellow song. |

holy shit. my brain is fried. you are right. and seriously there should be a party
i remember someone a while back complaining about Yellow having inferior cd mastering. which i thought was bullshit. but i have to say when i listen back to back agains another current day cd you really do notice the difference. not that it takes away from the enjoyment, but it would be awesome if they re-mastered this
as an aside, i was trying to find my olde McCabes Guitar Shop bootleg to upload Don't Ya Rile Em. would anyone be so kind as to do such a favor for such a person as me? for that matter, anyone wanna upload some old school McCabes? stuart's dimeadozen link is donezo

Bloody hell, those files are massive (because they're FLAC I'm guessing). Annoying, haven't heard either of those or the Reading festival one! |

no idea who recorded it. I have a feeling it might have been someone with his crew, or mccabes crew. sounds pretty good to be hand held ghetto style
