Great show (especially the first series). If there are any other Americans who have seen every episode of Auf Wiedersehen Pet, please speak up. Until then I'll assume I'm the only one.

I was drawn to this beer because of the packaging. Wiley Coyote meets the star of Bethlehem. But hemp seed? That just turned me off. Is there something notable in its hempyness?

Uinta has a great art department. awesome labels and packaging

i honestly wouldn't even know what hemp seed would add. don't let that deter you. this is a top notch beer. if you like the style you will not be disappointed. if you've never had a black ipa but like ipas and like stouts you should try

Old Speckled Hen now but I had a lovely pint of Firestone Walker American Independence Pale Ale in the summer sun at Wetherspoons today. Brewed somewhere in this country but an American brewery or something- this article explains all.

Tasted suspiciously like Abbot Ale which was the tap next to it so not sure if the staff fucked up again and got the barrels mixed up, which I am convinced happens sometimes in Wetherspoons. Anyway it was a lovely treat on a beautiful summer's day.

well, i'm from belgium. there are so many beers here, that i don't really need to get foreign beers when i want to try something new.
and i think for the same reason, it's quite hard to find any foreign beers here.

when i'm in the uk, i enjoy the ales though.

yesterday evening, my drink of choice was green chartreuse with tonic.

A friend of mine introduced me to that a couple years ago; I liked it.

well, I can understand liking Belgian beer and being proud of it too. just curious if much American craft beer is making it there yet. i know in other parts of Europe they're starting to discover what we've been up to here the past 20 years or so

ps, my girlfriends dad is from Verviers. how bout that eh?

i wouldn't mind trying some american micro beers. i've heard they're really good.
i don't see any of them for sale here though, and i'm not sure if i'd want to pay what i guess they would cost, being imported.

i have to keep in the back of my mind that "belgian beer" is a commercial invention.

I guess I can see that to you Belgian beer is just beer, but there are different types of beer, distinct to their regions
