I was thinking about that song Driving away from home by It bites the other day and googled it but couldn't find it...hang on...oh! It's by It's immaterial not It bites. I'm just posting this even though it technically is just a vague reminisce about one 80's song by a band that aren't even extant anymore never mind good!
Most of us just can't beat a good bit of nostalgia!! A lot of stuff I listened to in the 80's doesn't hold up that well.... Although, I started listening to the 'Pooh Sticks' again recently. Partly because their doing the odd gig (in London this month) here and there. I never was much of a fan of brit pop, but 'Pooh sticks' Welsh equivalent is still fantastic today. Anybody into a catchy tune with fantastic melodies check them out...... Still amazed these guys didn't become huge as what was on offer merited it. Loads of their stuff on you tube.
