Nice! I was at a show last night in Hamilton, and it was awesome! I wasn't expecting a full on rock show, but the boys totally delivered. I'm surprised they went with Nashville/Tiven production for these songs because there are definitely quite a few that are hard rocking. They played 4 songs that weren't from the upcoming album: Another Velvet Nightmare, Golden Shore, Don't Get Me Wrong, and I'm Not Dead (I'm in Pittsburg). Another Velvet Nightmare was incredible, and included a solid solo by Frank. I'm VERY excited about the new album!

Don't Get Me Wrong? Really?
Those Honeycomb songs were pretty good. Was it a four piece band? |

Yeah, I was totally surprised by that one as well. It was really nice to hear it live - I was just thinking about that song the other week, and how I'd probably never hear a live version of it. Low and behold, Francis busts it out with his four piece band. So obviously, it's a little more rocking than the Christmass version, but still really cool none the less. He made a comment about how it has more "hits" on youtube than his other videos and how Paley had something to do with the song and/or video - one way or another. |

Maybe this collaboration will bring me back into the fold, but I've never really liked anything Tiven has touched. I still haven't heard/downloaded any songs yet. We'll see.
edit I'll have to wait till I get home and try the youtube link above. Work doens't allow video websites.

It didn't make me like 'Curse' any more than before. Would be good to hear how some of the other songs turned out though. |

I didn't want to make an opinion from bad audio so I stopped the video. That being said I never really got into Paley when I heard him open for the Catholics or was it FB solo or both. I can't remember. Being born in Brooklyn myself I want to at least like him. Sorry Reid, just not my style. As for the new collaboration I'll have to search out better sounding stuff. Truthfully I won't actively be searching for it.

There are some country songs that suit Nashville, no doubt. But there are at least a few rocking numbers to look forward to.. Namely, Magic Cup (this one seriously rocks), Deconstructed, and Cursed are right on the money, imo. But I'm very curious to hear how they turn out post-Tiven. |

I love Curse tbh and that live performance made me love it even more, sounds wonderfully raw live.
