How I would have loved to have seen these two tour Europe's bars.
Thanks, Ian. I'm watching them now. I'd ask if you enjoyed the night but you might have loved and left by now. |

Finally got round to getting this, very happy that I have. I love Paley's voice on this, his vocals are like a Tom Waits/Elvis mix, Ugly Life is fantastic.
Only issue is because of Paleys growl you dont hear the Black Francis bark, more the Frank Black falsetto. But that aint a bad thing. |

Steev Riccardo interview with Reid Paley from earlier this year. Lots of cool stories and anecdotes. Couple of interesting things I took away from this, Reid has a lot of material written - probably enough for a couple of albums, hopefully new solo material from him eventually.
His album Lucky's Tune has been released on vinyl as part of the Frank Black Daemon records reissue.
Also, him and Charles still meet up to hang and write songs. |

I wonder whatever happened to the sequel - I remember Charles hyping it up as a real left turn that goes in the direction of "I Am the Walrus". He may have just been pulling people's legs with that one, haha.
For what it's worth, I think "Seal" is a fantastic and grossly underrated song. |

Not really a fan of the Paley-Francis album but it completely passed me by that Don't get me Wrong was a co-write! That is a top top tune. Great to hear the story about it. |
