So BF keeps releasing stuff everywhere and it's hard to keep track. I thought we could start a thread to list all the non-album or rare tracks from the Black Francis era, and where to find them. I'm starting around 2006 cause that's when he started using bf.net and myspace and stuff.
Here's what I have for the moment:

* Dead Man's Curve: - Live acoustic version on the 2006-03-14 Cafe Du Nord bootleg - Live acoustic version on Christmass - Live acoustic version on the Utah USB - Live version on the Nijmegen USB - Demo version on blackfrancis.net/exclusive - Studio version on Nonstoperotik
* Rabbits: - Live acoustic version on the 2006-03-14 Cafe Du Nord bootleg - 2 demo versions on blackfrancis.net/exclusive - Studio version on Nonstoperotik
* Road Movie To Berlin (TMBG cover): - Studio version on the TMBG tribute (Bar/None records)
2007 * That Burnt Out Rock And Roll: - Live on the 93-03 European bonus CD

* Polly's Into Me: - Studio version on Bluefinger iTunes bonus - also on blackfrancis.net/exclusive : is it the same version?

I stumbled across this performance of "Burnt Out Rock and Roll" and "Jumping Beans" on youtube yesterday -
I don't think you're seeking to include youtube videos in your list - but it was clearly in a studio for a radio show - absoluteradio.co.uk - and you have some radio performances included up above -
This struck me because I think this is my favorite version of "Burnt Out Rock and Roll" that I've heard so far

BF played Rockafeller Skank live a few times. I believe a studio version was recorded along with Dead Man's Curve in a session with Billy Block & Ding Archer. There is also a studio/full band version of Il Cucchiaio recorded, but also unreleased.
My Name Is Gary (BFB & Joey Santiago) Brownie Mountain
I have the key to #902 |

Yes it is. There are also two different versions of the Gimme Danger cover of Iggy & The Stooges. |

A full band version of 'Il Cuchaiao' was recorded with the 2007 band during the ITunes session.
The Block/Jarvis/EDF band recorded studios versions of 'Dead Man's Curve' and 'That Burnt Out Rock and Roll'. |

Thanks guys. A few more questions:
- Make It Stop aka Skip This Part : wow, I had never heard of that one. It, uh... lo-fi.
- Brooklyn Piledriver: is that one downloadable anywhere?
- Brownie Mountain: thanks, for some reason I had missed that one.
- GD instrumental demos: where can these be found?
- Gimme Danger: 2 versions, where?
Finally, could someone tell me which of these songs can be found on iTunes and in which version? I'm too lazy to install iTunes. Fuck it.

Still available on iTunes. UK iTunes at least.
There's the single version and the 'Nu Grungeopolis Mix'.

"Gimme Danger" is available via eMusic. The alternate mix isn't.
"Brownie Mountain," when we played a clip on the podcast, was simply nicked from a video online. No official version was released as far as i know.
"Brooklyn Piledriver" was on the official Black Francis myspace, but no more.

and adding to the Pigface legacy, BF & Joey are credited with playing guitars on the song "Dog" from the album "The Best of Pigface: Preaching to the Perverted": http://www.discogs.com/Pigface-The-Best-Of-Pigface-Preaching-To-The-Perverted/release/102222
songwriting credits are to Martin Atkins and Pigface in general. BF was given credit as "additional personnel" on the Pigface album "Welcome to Mexico...Asshole", though I could never figure out for which track(s). The above "Dog" was previously unreleased. Maybe it's from those sessions, and mystery solved?

They could also have been sampled, and thus credited.

I think BF may have contributed the chord progression. It sounds like him instructing the chord changes (to Joey?). |

Random - but I just switched to Apple Music from Spotify and was playing Nonstoperotik - I have never heard Lost Mi Love.
It's awesome! I like it better than half of this album lol.
I remember in an interview a while back Charles said he had never done a dub record but wanted to, so interesting to hear his cover of a Yellowman song |
