tomwhite - yep, tickets should be downloaded and printed. just a barcode, event details and the name of the person who bought the ticket. no tickets being physically sent out.

Hurrah! Someone has offered me a ticket for Friday, so it looks like I get to go. His name is printed on the ticket however. Does anyone know if the name on the ticket is important, i.e., are ticket holders expected to present ID at the venue? As clearly he's got a different name to me.

Here's hoping that Ziggy's request for Rock Music is granted on Friday night!

I'd try contacting the venue or even the lalaPixiesloveyou site to clarify. I think the barcode is the only important thing, but would want to be sure anyway.

Great idea, Ziggy, have e-mailed the venue.

Very excited to see the setlists from the other shows they've been doing. They're so good I'm beginning to regret not trying to get tickets for BOTH nights! I hope they do Cecilia Ann behind a curtain like on the Bossanova tour, to build up the tension.

I heard that Bombay Bicycle Club are supporting, but not entirely sure.

At a guess, I'd say 7.45 support, 9.00pm Pixies. If you're going to the Troxy, get there early though!

On the Troxy site itself the following is scrolling along the top: "Pixies - Thursday 3rd June 2010 - 7pm Doors | 8pm Support Act: Tribes | 9pm Pixies | 11pm Close...". It doesn't mention Friday.

Cheers. Bombay Bicycle Club tomorrow would be great (not heard of Tribes). Hope to get their early and grab a place near the front, but depends on how soon my girlfriend can get up to London.

Have not had a reply from the Troxy about the need for ID at the shows. But the Topspin website says this:

"Admittance to the show: Show up with the ticket you downloaded after purchasing and a form of Identification."

Can anyone who goes to the show tonight report back as to whether ID is actually required or not? My suspicion is that they'll only ask for it if 2 people try and get in with the same barcode, but would like to be sure.

Email sent today...

We're looking forward to seeing you tonight and tomorrow at TROXY London. It took a lot of work to sort through your set list email suggestions, but now we have a set we think you'll enjoy.

We'd also like to introduce our opening acts for each night. Thursday we'll be joined by Tribes ( http://www.myspace.com/tribesband). On Friday, the opener will be Bromheads, who have kindly prepared a download for you here: http://www.bromheads.tv/Pixies.htm.

See you soon.

La La Love You,
PIXIES

Ouch. My tickets don't have my name on them. This could be fun.

Hi there! Ruzom live from London. Nothing special tonight about the setlistm more or less the same than recent previous dates. So, not really in order:

Cecilia Ann
Bone Machine
Monkey Gone To Heaven
Debaser
Velouria
Break My Body
River Euphrates
Cactus
Dig For Fire
Alec Eiffel
Planet of Sound
U-Mass
Head On
Allison
Tame
Nimrods Son
Holyday Song
Caribou
The Sad Punk
Broken Face
Isla de Encanta
Is She Weird

I probably forgot a couple of songs.

Where is my Mind? + Here Comes Your Man as encores.

Great performances in general. Sound not that good(not enough voice too much the same mid-high frequencies) but only during the first two songs, after that pretty nice till the end. Terrific crowd, singing, cheering and moving all the time: thank you London really.

Contrary to what had been alluded to with the lalapixiesloveyou website and the requests e-mail, really no big surprise but still a great experience for me as I had dreamed to hear The Sad Punk live(River Euphrates is also one of my favorites I had never heard live, so Im happy with all that). 1st Pixies concert, 6th with BF solo gigs. It was great!

Setlist looks brilliant! Hope we get something like that tonight. I'm really glad they're doing several Bossanova songs for the first time since their reunion, love those songs...

What happened with the need for ID? Did everyone's ID get checked when entering the Troxy, or was the ticket print-out enough?

Still no Happening or Motorway. Wasn't the setlist semi-voted for? And those two weren't in excessive demand? I'm confused.

The ticket printout on its own was enough. They didn't ask me for ID at least. And it was a beautiful gig.

I'd love Motorway to be played (and it was during some of the Black Francis shows), but I'll be bloody happy if I get the same set as last night played tonight.

Ditto - setlist last night looks amazing. Dead, No.13 Baby and Into the White would be great too but we've heard those songs alot since the reunion, and the songs last night, alot of them I haven't heard since 1990/1 so I am very excited.

Thanks for info. re ID too. Hope the venue is good. See you all down the front!

Pretty much the same set tonight. They messed up 'Rock Music' though, and stopped it early.

Charles is using Vox amps now. The band seemed to having trouble hearing each other at the start of the set, but it got better.

Good banter between him and Kim, when they tried to reenact the intro to 'Where is My Mind'.

'Dig for Fire' sounded amazing.

Rock Music and the next one were a bit of a mess - Charles to blame from where I was standing. Rest of the set was awesome and Dig For Fire, Alison & Planet were my standouts. Classic Kim nonsense before Where Is My Mind :)
No idea what the correct setlist order was but hoping someone recorded it - it doesn't feel right not being able to preorder or wait for a recording of the show...

The show was recorded... should be an email going out in a few days. Not sure if it'll be the whole show or not.

I thought the sound was pretty terrible at times. Charles' guitar was really muddy (sounded much better in Brixton last year). Hard to hear Joey a lot of the time.

Apparently one of the reasons for choosing the venue was that they'd be allowed to waive the booking fees that'd normally be paid to Ticketmaster and their equivalents.

The excerpts from the "you fuckin' die" speech too; very funny!

"Alec Eiffel" and "Break My Body" were great.

I thought it sounded great - much better than Brixton - the bass was really punchy and you could everything perfectly ... maybe it depends where you were standing ... will look forward to checking out the recording

seemed to me that it was Dave who fucked up Rock Music - he was ahead of everyone else ... shame they didn't restart it, I was particularly looking forward to that one

I was also sad they didn't re-do Rock Music as it was the one I was most looking forward to the most, too. But the punked-up Surfer Rosa stuff more than made up for it, particularly Break My Body and River Euphrates; and I surprised myself by really enjoying the TLM material too. Sad Punk was really intense.

I think the sound was alot better at Brixton, and I was standing in a similar place down the front at both gigs. But Joey's guitar playing was immense last night and came through very clearly for me.

Yeah, I was in pretty much the same place as at previous gigs.

Charles' guitar tone was quite different than before, which is quite a significant factor. I know this'll sound pedantic and guitar geeky though!
