I started another thread about Awkwardcore Records, but I thought one of the bands signed to them deserved a thread of their own.
They are an indie/alternative band and all four or five of their albums are available for free on the website. The production on their albums is quite basic and they sound a little bit out of time sometimes which lends itself to a great indie/garage sound. They have all the hall marks of the Pixies style as well, namely the wailing guitars and the male/female vocal combo. Thay also have other instruments, flutes and stuff that they write that make for some really catchy melodies.
I recommend the albums Fort and Echolate Yourself.
