In the song Llano Del Rio, Frank pronounces Llano with a soft "L" sound like a "Y" as if it's "Yano" or "yarn". (Excuse my ignorance of the correct terms, I wasn't an English major.) BUT the locals in New Llano, Louisiana, the relocation of the new utopian vision of the old Llano, pronouce their town name with a hard "L", like "lucky" or "loose".
I know, I've been there. And New Llano is SOOO far from being some utopian ideal it's sad...
So what does this all mean?
Not a thing.
But I do wonder how the original name was pronounced. |

I know the spanish pronounce the first "L", and the mexican would say "Yano", but I don't know about the other countries.
