i love this one. this would be a great one for his current solo tour. not sure what you are getting at joey? you think it was written while he was in the pixies or that perhaps someone in the pixies kicked him in the taco?

Today at the New Morocco
I got kicked in the taco
All I saw were stars
Say, it`s a bit nightmarish
From here to Albondigas Parish
Underneath the stars
Hey, I got kicked in the taco
There`s a brewing sirocco
On the planet of Mars
And from me, you got my message of love
You got my message
You got my message of love

Imagine the Pixies playing it, the end etc... Could be found on Trompe le Monde.
Well it's just a spontaneous observation.

Agreed. It was a kick-ass good time when Cult of Ray came out. It was epic to watch the Frank unleash post-pixies. And who could have imagined the awesomeness to come. I speak, of course, of the Catholics. Sigh...

I remember sitting in a basement listening to Fields of Marigold until I passed out.

I hear more than a nod to The Pretenders' Message Of Love at the end of Kicked In The Taco. I like that about it. I always loved that Pretenders song. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Whoa! Whoa! Tro, you just blew my mind!

Running off to compare and contrast the two songs...

kathryn what did you think? First halves purposeful, hard-driving. Second halves more dreamy. References to stars, messages etc.

Also do you think Tame and Mad At You are remarkably similar? (See above links).
