Hi Frank!
I really like the Nashville stuff... Fitzgerald is one of my favorite songs ever. Are those days finished or is it something you might be interested in doing again?
By the way, You rock! |

Hi mister Black (Francis/Frank/Charles/Pixie #1)
I really enjoy BAD WICKED WORLD...partly because I loved The Invaders as a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's and watching all sorts of awesome 60's and 70's shows just gone into syndication.
I'm gonna throw out 6 TV show titles from the 60's and 70's. If you were to pick one to write a song about, which one would it be. Also, would you consider actually writing that song? I know this is quite an outlandish request, and it just sprung to mind, but it would really be cool!

Do you ever blast out a favourite record through your studio speakers and have a strum along? Barstool Blues! |

Do you have any wishes for the future in terms of working with specific people ? And what Pixies song will we never ever hear again live ? |

And is Tony's theme really a metaphor for NATO? Well, OK, I'm not serious, but on the recordings half the time I hear NAY-TO NAY-TO instead of TO-NAY.

It was great to know that the Pixies are playing new old songs: Boom Chicka Boom, Cecilia Ann, Rock Music, Dig for Fire etc... I bet it was fun to play those amazing songs again!
Mr Francis: Is there any chance that the band could also play: All over the world, trompe le monde, evil hearted you, wild honey pie, brick is red, velvety, i'll be waiting for you and make believe! I know most of them are covers, but you guys turned this covers into golden gems! ...oh and yes! here in chile you have LOTS of fans! It'd be fantastic if you guys could come! |

I love recording in Nashville. It's not a question of whether, just a question of when.

Do you have a favorite Pink Floyd album? Favorite 3 songs by The Jesus & Mary Chain? If you had to cover a Jackson Browne song, which would you choose?

Mr Black, Speaking of Nashville stuff.. Were all of the Honeycomb-FMRM songs written at the same time roughly with The Nashville Number System in mind, or were one or two written earlier?
I find Go Find Your Saint to be the odd one out. I mean I really like it, and maybe it is my favourite tune of that era even, but it doesn't seem to quite fit in somehow, to me anyway. I could be wrong...

There will be a festival and the organisers ask you to make the line up for the main stage for the final day of the festival. Let's say money, rising from the grave for the occasion or seemingly impossible reunions are not an issue, who would be the 7 bands/artists that will come on stage ?

Is there any truth to the Non-Stop Erotik album rumor?
I'll be seeing you at the virgin festival show in Toronto, first time seeing the Pixies and i'm really excited! Any chances of a Black Francis show in Toronto while you're up? |

Still ever toy with the idea of making a kind of toss-off covers record, as the first album way back when was supposed to be? Say, throwing in some Fall, Cramps, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Husker Du, Wire, Wipers, Wall of Voodoo, Buzzcocks, Tom Verlaine/Television, Ramones, that kind of thing? |

... and maybe some early Stranglers (e.g. from the Black'n'White Album)?

Since the release of Doolittle 20 years ago, what is the longest period you have gone without picking up your guitar to write or perform music?

What's been the most fun of the Doolittle b-sides to dust off?
PS - just got a recording back of the Ciao My Shining Star show in Brooklyn - sounds great

Any chance we will see a recording of the Rabbit Hole song in the near future?
I think that song is really good.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Pixies again in November !

Hey. Frank, will NSE be released before Der Golem? Actually when is Der Golem coming out?
By the way, re Doolittle tour - would you/Pixies be playing Santo at some stage, as it was a Doolittle era demo, I think?
Hope the tour/s go well anyway...
