Pretty good! Enjoying it a lot. Have a lot of time for the Rubdown, sometimes some of their stuff takes a while to grow on you, but a superb band. Anyone else liking the new album?

Just bought it Thursday at the suggestion of record store guy, but haven't had a chance to get into it yet.

Is it your first Sunset Rubdown purchase? Shut up I'm Dreaming and Random Spirit Lover are 2 of my fave albums of all time.

I salute you Canada!

It's the first time I had even heard of them. I still haven't had a chance to listen to it. Tried over the weekend, but wasn't in the mood: have been listening to the new Wilco, and to a Deerhunter EP that I got and liked a lot. Plus can't stop listening to Deerhunter's Microcastle as well.

Looking forward to liking it though!

a friend of mine hooked me up with these two albums. i gave the first one a number of listens and liked it a lot, though it was a little bit creepy in parts. i still haven't listened to the second one. also, my brother gave me the first wolf parade album and i haven't really listened to that yet either. this thread's given me the itch, though.

here's the thing: i don't like spencer krug's voice. however, everything else about his two bands is amazing. so i've been putting up with his voice. hopefully it will grow on me.

I have finally "gotten" this now. You were exactly right about the growing on you part of it. I didn't like how theatrical his voice was at first, and I just couldn't listen to it. Slowly though I would click on it when in the mood for something different, and now I really like it. Still only listened to it about 7 times I would say, but definitely rich music.
