I heard something about him being in a hospital yesterday night, but I didn't pay too much attention. Seems like he passed away last night. I have always liked his (old) music and he struck me as a sad, sad human being. Hope he finally has some rest now.

his rollercoaster life would make one hell of a biography. but watching the archive clips on the news today, i don't understand the phenomenon of people screaming and crying when they see their favorite musician in person.
when i see FB in person, i feel a little strange, but my first inclination is to buy the man a beer!

Very sad news, in his prime he was an amazing entertainer. The world over knew him and his tunes. A shame that his fans didnt get to see his big o2 comeback. I reckon his tunes will be played for a long time. Goes down with the Beatles / Elvis / Sinatra. RIP |

Saw this when I switched on the news last night, bit of an out-of-the-blue shocker. |

I've already had about 10 Michael Jackson jokes sent to my phone today. Even when my girlfriend text me last night to say that he was dead I was waiting for the punchline, I couldn't really believe it at first.

I remember sitting in a basement listening to Fields of Marigold until I passed out.

MJ didn't die of a heart attack; he had a stroke in the children's ward!
I heard it was food poisoning; MJ ate some 12 year old nuts.
It wasn't cardiac arrest; MJ choked on a weenie.
Farrah Fawcett was such an angel, when she arrived, saint peter said "you were such a brave woman, of faith and courage, before you are granted permission into heaven, we would like to grant a wish for you to show our gratitude!" Farrah Fawcett replied, "I'd like all the children of the world to be safe once and for all."

I think it's sad. I'm not a huge MJ fan...I wouldn't even really consider myself a fan at all. But unless you were there in 1982, it's really hard to explain the swirl of crazy frenzy MJ caused with thr THRILLER album. It really was to the extent of Beatlemania...however it was one man and not four. And even though I have the album somewhere on vinyl and claim I'm not really a fan, I will go so far as to say his title of King of Pop is correct. There has not been one individual in the world of pop since he became an icon to rival his status...and this is going on close to 30 years! I think he was extremely talented (even though it's not particularly my cup of tea), extremely eccentric, extremely vulnerable, and extremely outside. I never thought he was guilty of any rumors involving molestation, and I never will. Some people say he paid his way out of those scandals. Sure, he probably did...and he likely was paying lecherous individuals money not rightly theirs in hopes it would dissapear. Whatever...I guess it doesn't matter now. I just wanted to chime in and say I think it's awful...horrible. I don't think he had the correct support core...not that everyone needs a support core...then again, not everyone innocently dangles their baby over a 4th story balcony, calls their kid 'Blanket', or alters their face constantly until it actually reveals cartilage. MJ had some very deep issues that affected his outward attitude...however it was not a violent or even dangerous attitude, except to himself. I have no idea why I am even saying all this, except that I hope wherever he is he is happy now, because he never seemed to be very happy. He only sang and danced...and he left us way too soon. RIP

Word, TRANSMARINE. The cool thing about Michael circa Thriller was that everyone liked at least some of his music. Seemed like you could play Off the Wall or Thriller and everyone dug it, no matter their race or taste. I always thought that was cool. He's one of the very few lengendary entertainers who will retain the stature of Elvis or Lennon -- never diminishing, always growing.

Haha. MJ..If he really was a pedophile than this round the clock coverage is really perverse. Well actually, the amount of coverage that this guy's death has been getting is over the top to begin with.
Even though, I still would have liked to see him do that come back performance. Supposing he wasn't a pedophile.

i heard MJ had so much plastic surgery, that after the crematorium cremates him they can use all the left over melted plastic to make a slide so kids can keep going down on him.

Actually he's being buried. The headstone will be made from black granite which will fade over 30 years to a much thinner white marble. |
