Here's something else funny. Growing up in Ireland in the 90s many times I had to say in conversation to strangers about music 'No not Frances Black, FRANK Black!'
So just after I posted above I logged on to Spotify to listen Don't Get Me Wrong. And what popped up initially? 'Dont Get Me Wrong' by Frances Black!! (not a cover)
I just realized Mark Mulcahy sings on Don't Get Me Wrong. Lots of links between him and Frank but I hadn't noticed they had actually done stuff together.
It was around the time that Teenager came out that I thought to myself "he should do a Christmas album."
Then I heard about Christmass and I thought, "No kidding!"
But I guess he was kidding somewhat.
What Christmas song would you like to hear the man do?
My vote would be for Frank to do a cover of "Last Christmas I gave you my heart but the very next day you gave it away." I hate that song with a passion, so it would be cool to see FBF redeem it someohow.

I saw Miracle Legion last year, up there with best gigs ever.
Met Mark Mulcahy after the show signing merch. I told him saw Dave / Scott 15 years ago with the Catholics in city they were playing (Glasgow).
He gave a wry smile and said 'what were they doing with Frank Black, right?'
I looked at him, thinking 'you sung with him on Christmass! And opened for the Pixies!'
But then I realised his smile and winking look and we both had a good laugh!
