This DVD gets better each time I watch it.

My appreciation for Frank's songwriting grows each time I hear the songs in their stripped down state. Sing for Joy is just perfect. California Bound, too.

OK, all of them really, just a great collection of songs, performed in a perfect venue and with the perfect honesty.

I love the CD as well, the songs that debuted on the disc are his strongest of the decade i think (with dog in the sand challenging).

I liked the dvd even more than the record, mostly for the way he charts out Two Reelers in the thin air. Makes up for only getting the first half of Los Angeles.

The craft blows me away.

Would anybody be able to do an audio-rip of the DVD? Or is there a program where i'd be able to do that for myself? I have the DVD, but it'd be nice to have them to listen to whenever.

Thank you! This will be tonight's reason to stay at
my job.

I've owned Christmass since its release and I've never
found the moment to watch the DVD.

I was at this show with Erebus and I believe Nadine was his favorite part of the night.

I so wanted to love this but it never grabbed me, I think I was still in thrall to that Underworld solo show in Camden and Christmass just couldn't compete.
Gonna see if I can find my copy and give it another spin :)

I do love this album.

Nice and weird with some great songs.

I wish 2.0 would do something like this with b- sides and live performances.

Maybe a Hanukkah album.

Don't know why it's called Christmass with the extra s? Maybe because it was released in December it was presented as a sort of gift? Was it free when it was released online? I can't remember...

Wiki says produced by Miles Mangino (same Miles who does lighting for Pixies shows? Talented dude!) ...who also produced Mark Mulcahy album In Pursuit of Your Happiness (which Joey played on the final track)

J Mascis plays on a few tracks of this album too
