I wanted to go to Chicago so bad but it was too much $ to get down there and stay.

I just saw them at Subterranean in Chicago the other night. It was my first time seeing Frank Black even though I've been a fan for years. I had a spot right up front, less than six feet from the Man himself, and it was great. I don't remember the set list, and I didn't write it down. My friend, Stephanie, works for an online magazine called Gaper's Block and is writing a review for the show, though it isn't posted yet. Thanks for the info Robert :) It's very cool you got to see the show. How cool was it that you were able to get up front like that?
I also really like Stephanie's photos. Hope I can read her article too :)

Eh, the vibe was mixed. I'd say most people seemed excited but there was the one jerk who yelled, "Play Gigantic!" and who kept yelling rude things at the sound guy while he was setting up. (they may not have been the same person) Surprisingly, the venue was only maybe half full or so. Maybe there aren't too many people who know that it's a Frank Black project. I don't know.
