This is an excellent, very straight forward presentation by San Francisco architect Richard Gage, member of the AIA http://www.aia.org/ I had not seen this until last night. I found it very informative and free of conspiracy craziness.
We should all watch this very informative presentation and the discuss it in this thread. That would be fun and informative for people not familiar with the true events of 9/11.

Or... seven more of you could watch and comment on the clip I linked in the "Open letter to KOK" thread and I will call it quits on this stuff forever.

That's something you don't hear often: "It's great to be here in Winnipeg."
But seriously.
I watched it. I am neither outraged nor surprised that credible groups and people claim to have proof that it was an inside job.
On perhaps a tangent, I long ago, like very soon after Sept. 11, got sick of those Americans who act like this was the only mass-killing in history, as if their dead matter more than other nations' dead. I'm sorry that people were murdered on 9/11, and I'll play the friend card and say that the relative of a close friend of mine died in one of the planes. But I am sick of people acting like it's the only time that civilians were murdered. By the way, my friend and her family say they don't doubt the "conventional truth" about how their son died. For what it's worth, I think the government exploited the attacks, which were carried out by terrorists.

Yeah, they're out there, but what good does it do to spend time in them other than for keeping abreast of things? That doesn't help get the word out. That's called preaching to the choir.

Well, tell us in your own words why you feel we should look at your cat.
Is it because he's an incredibly well adjusted cat considering some pussy - with obviously no say in cat naming at home - okayed naming him "BOO"?

Is your cat's name Boo? That's so gangsta.
How old and which gender?
When I look at your cat, I feel sorry that I'm allergic to cats.

Do you actually believe this? KOK, really i'm interested.. While most, yes most, structural specialists/architects agree that it was NOT cause by explosives..
Can you not see that your man Gage or whatever, has made a name for himself, duping people like you and getting richer doing the lecture circuit?
If Bush said that the earth was round, would you have to disagree and claim it was flat all along?
Have u a mind of your own? Can you actually decipher anything for yourself? Have you common sense? I am not really joking either because I know people who have little or no common sense (believe in tarot cards/astrology etc) who really have a poor understanding of life really...

I'm not sure why I'm even responding to you because you have been rude douche in every single one of your posts to me. You may not like this subject being discussed, but you better get used to it because it's gone viral and is going to be all around you soon.
All I can say is you are very naive. Look at the conspiracy theory that you believe. Some boogeymen living in a cave took on the most heavily militarized country on the planet and successfully hit 75% of their targets? You want me to believe that?
One month after this event the citizens of the United States were presented with a document that eviscerated their liberties in the name of fighting terror. The curious thing is that this document would have taken years to write. How did they manage to whip Patriot Act 1 together in one month?
Shortly after that we went after Osama Bin Laden. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9213554821937648649&q=the+power+of+nightmares+osama&total=49&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1
This was a joke. In actuality we were going into Afghanistan to secure a planned oil pipeline down to the Caspian Sea. This has been accomplished.
Next we begin to hear Saddam Hussein was complicit in the attacks on 9/11...
Do I need to trace back through the last seven years of lies we've all been told just for you?
Do some research on you own. Watch this "power of nightmares" documentary http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=the+power+of+nightmares+osama&sitesearch=

And wake up.

"A douche"- A shower of some type, i guess.
"You may not like this subject being discussed"- Yes, I'm part of the conspiracy. You got me.
"it's gone viral and is going to be all around you soon"- Who is? The Orcs from Mordor. Are you twelve? What does that mean?
"Look at the conspiracy theory that you believe"- You do not know what I believe.
"Do some research on you own"- This is brilliant. Looking up entertainment sites on the internet is not research. I could make a documentary today called "KOK is an idiot" and put it up on youtube, but that does not make it true.
Have a look at peer-reviewed journals with high impact factors. Have a look at the researchers H scores for credibility. While not perfect they tell a lot. Do you know what research is?

H scores. How is it that silly arbitrary score has spread so quickly? Bullshit little papers, 5th authored papers, comments, ect. all count the same.

Not that you really care, but the highest impact journals are Nature, Science, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
H scores are found on webofscience.com, but that's a pay site. |

How do I apply these "impact factors" to what I consider evidence on this theory? How about the H scores? Can someone that has access check the H score on say former BYU physicist Stephen Jones for me?
Oh, are these H scores useless Darwin?

is it so hard to believe people with flight training flew planes into the buildings? Last year, a NY Yankee flew his plane into an NYC building by mistake. |

The flight instructor from the school were this supposed terrorist(Hanni Hanjour) that flew the plane that hit the pentagon trained said he (Hanjour) couldn't even fly a single engine cesna.
Supposedly these pilots flew with out the use of radar. To find New York or DC never mind the towers/pentagon flying by vision alone would have been impossible.
The flight path of the plane that hit the pentagon more closely resembled that of a missile. The G's the plane would have undergone would have made the plane fall apart in mid air.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean. If he was authorized to be in the vicinity he could of briefly flown off course and hit a building. How come that building didn't come crumbling to the ground at free fall speed, into it's own foot print exactly like displayed in controlled demolition? A jumbo jet coming from another state is a different story. Never mind three jumbo jets flying around in US air space for over and hour and a half without being intercepted. It just doesn't happen people. Not unless it is allowed to happen.
But I'm done with this stuff. Too tired. Too many different opinions. I don't like arguing with you guys on this anymore.

I tried looking up his h score (even though I think that's a pretty bad metric of scientific productivity or impact on a field) but SE Jones is too common of a name for me to do it easily.
His web page shows that he hasn't published much lately, but I don't know if that means much.

He was a very respected scientist. In the 80's he did alot of work on cold fusion. I have a lot of respect for this man and read his entire report on the towers. It was very well researched.
Cold fusion
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_E._Jones In the mid-1980s, Jones and other BYU scientists worked on what he then referred to as Cold Nuclear Fusion in a Scientific American article, but is today known as muon-catalyzed fusion to avoid confusion. Muon-catalyzed fusion was a field of some interest in the 1980s, but its low energy output appears to be unavoidable (due to alpha-muon sticking losses). Jones led a research team that in 1986 achieved 150 fusions per muon (average), releasing over 2,600 MeV of fusion energy per muon, a record which still stands.[7] Around 1985 Jones then became interested in the anomalous production of helium-3 found in the gasses escaping from volcanoes. He hypothesized that the high pressures in the Earth's interior might make fusion more likely, and began a series of experiments on what he referred to as piezofusion, or high-pressure fusion. In order to characterize the reactions, Jones designed and built a neutron counter able to accurately measure the tiny numbers of neutrons being produced in his experiments. The counter suggested a small amount of fusion was going on. Jones said the result suggested at least the possibility of fusion, though the process was unlikely to be useful as an energy source. Pons and Fleischmann (P&F) started their work around the same time. Their work was brought to Jones' attention when they applied for research funding from the Department of Energy and they passed their proposal along to Jones for peer review. Realizing their work was very similar, Jones and P&F agreed to release their papers to Nature on the same day, March 24, 1989. However, P&F announced their results at a press event the day before. Jones faxed his paper to Nature. A New York Times article says that while peer reviewers were quite critical of Pons and Fleishchmann's research they did not apply such criticism to Jones' much more modest, theoretically supported findings. Although critics insisted that his results likely stemmed from experimental error,[9] most of the reviewing physicists indicated that he was a careful scientist. Other research and experiments confirmed his findings.[10]

I just want everyone to notice the dementia. All the signs are there, but, the need to reinforce a sense of self importance and superiority is obvious in every post (SLAVES!).
This is about insecurity and self loathing. Conspiracy theorists don't like the part of themselves that isn't involved in the fight against world-wide domination...and Sasquatch...and women in the workplace for that matter.
The kicker is KOK doesn'r REALLY believe this stuff, but, he can't let go of the self rightousness that comes along with it. He can't even begin to address the NUMBER ONE issue that all conspiracy theories must overcome and is even more revealing in the 9/11 trash: Where are the conspirators? Not one of the thousands necessary (afterall, people at CNN and the BBC new in advance and reported it!) to pull off this tragedy have broken or even made a mistake?? Its absurd on its face. YOU GOTTA WANT TO BELIEVE it folks. BADLY. It doesn't make a bit of sense any other way. |
