Yeah, those shirts were being sold on the tour. Did they really not buy the rights for the photo?

I got a message back in July asking for the permission to use the picture as a "pack shot" on iTunes. They never said anything about T-shirts!

hey, I'm in my last year of law school! I'm in. Let's force a settlement where frank has to release a mega catholics boxset and record personalized songs for us.

Hey. It's only for U.S. customers.

It would have been fun to wear a FB tee with US tour dates.

Why is it U.S. only?

I was really liking the look of that Harmonica T-shirt too. :(

heh, that's funny, it gives the option to change currency, but doesn't allow overseas shipping.

Have to say, that's a bit low not asking for permission on the photo jedi. YOu could ask that proceeds go to fb.net though ;)

FB's a classy guy. It doesn't seem like him to misappropriate somebody else's intellectual property like that. Must be the new manager.

very cool designs, indeed :) it was a tough choice but I went with the harmonica design.

At $15, it's a good deal.

AH-HA! great minds think alike. But why buy a tee shirt when you can DIY?

they don't show up on the Rest Of World section, but i ordered mine thru the US section no problems.
will see whether it works or not, but i'm pretty sure i've paid for it.
got the emails and everything.
US$18 all up...so under NZ$25 not bad.....

It was a tough choice, but I had to go with the harmonica shirt.
Was anybody else not able to find a little box in which to check the size you want? I just wrote the size I wanted in the 'special comments' box--hope that works.

That's true, Jop. Frank's manager asked me for permission to use the picture on an iTunes release, I can't imagine he would deliberately go and print T-shirts without letting me know first. There's bound to have been some kind of misunderstanding along the way. I'm sure this will be settled quickly and among gentlemen.

A little question Jedi: were you fully allowed to take pictures of the show? ;)
You can't let people take pictures, tape your shows without bothering them and in the end ask for permission to use this material. I think it was nice already that they asked you first for the Itunes release.

This could end up as no more pictures and taping at FB shows...

I had a photo pass. Which has nothing to do with copyright anyway. I don't understand your point.

I don't know what you can legally do and not, but I suspect that jedi would be fine if they had just asked him?

It's all a bit ironic -- in this case, the artist is the bootlegger and the fan is the jilted party.

Well, it's one thing to put the pic in a disc. The picture itself isn't being sold. But to create a product based on that pic, I definitely think that's a separate thing and they should've contacted jedi on it at the very least. I imagine it will be solved amicably and was an oversight, though. Jedi have you contacted them? Did you want me to?

I used to have a website with a bunch of my photos until I started seeing them appear for sale in various places. Someone was selling "autographed" photos of Frank on ebay using my photo (until floop alerted me). Then I saw one on a band's DVD cover. I emailed the singer and he was supposed to give me a copy but never did. It's nice to see your handiwork in a visible place but it only feels good until you realize someone's taking advantage of you.
