Congratulations, Christian! I hope the lucky lady is a Frankophile.
Your wedding could be a great chance to make her and all your guests and family into fans of the man. Consider some slow songs, like Manitoba -- not exactly cheerful but a nice song to slow-dance to. Headache for a different pace of dancing. Just a couple of suggestions.
Again, congrats!

and just as everyone's getting crunk, you must play thallasocracy, turned up to ten! make sure the dance floor is pretty big cause if you play this too late there me be some chuck norris roundhouse kicks, and lots of broken necks.
and come on, what about la la la love you.

i'd be wary of using too much "weird" music that people are not familiar with, or that is likely to make them wonder what the hell it is. i created some discs that were played during the early parts of my wedding, and i tried to pick the mellower songs, and it did work well, but i still got some comments from some people who thought the music was too "depressing"
so yeah, just try to put a good even selection on......bit of weird with a bit of more mainstream stuff...doesn't have to be mainstream at all, just mainstream sounding....keep the plebs happy.
all i can say, thank god for polio! brian |

I used "My Favorite Kiss" during the cocktail hour, during dinner i played both "Speedy Marie" and the cover of "Duke of Earl" and on the dancefloor i played "Here Comes Your Man." Made me smile.

Weeding party eh?
Well that would have to be Dig For Fire. Or perhaps I Weed. Or Down To The Wellies.
Or even I've been Tired (From So Much Weeding).
Or perhaps not.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

The best Pixies song to dance to is Debaser, but I am not sure if it is suitable for a wedding party.
Alec Eiffel? I have danced to that in clubs before.
