The point of this thread is so you can talk about shows you're going to or have seen recently. Anyway I wanted to say how excited I am to have pinback tickets, seeing them in a month from now. Anyone here see them live? I know Kathleen has.

I have two concerts in a couple of weeks. I am going to see both I'm From Barcelona and The Go! Team again. Both are excellent live, so I am really looking forward to both.

I don't think they always take everyone on tour with them. It still looks cosy up there though.

Pinback rocks. Tour filter seems like a good way to keep track of shows. I never can seem to do it without Skatealex or someone cool reminding me stay on top of things. I don't know how I can do it it seems like every band that I would want to see (except fb/bf) is coming in Oct. It kinda sucks b/c it has been kind of dry concert wise around here for awhile and it seems like everyone is coming all at once and I don't know what to do. The one band I will see for sure is are the NP's the rest I will just wait to see how much $ I have at the time and if I don't have to work

I will... it's not for another six weeks... :) Thx for keeping me in the loop on shows I would like to see Earlimart and Pinback too... Spoon is another band (sigh) that I will miss this time around. I hate saying this and I feel so old but it is so hard to be at work at 8:30 when you don't get home until 1 am.

I'd hope they weren't doing either.

I haven't been to a show in months. I'm trying to get tickets to Marah's annual NYC Christmas show, and i may take in Reid Paley this weekend. I'm just too poor/busy.

Shows in the past few months: FB, Modest Mouse, Neko Case, Death Cab for Cutie and Morrissey. The only disappointment was MM - I had huge expectations with Johnny Marr on board, but they let me down a bit. They were much better to see in small clubs 8 years ago. Oh well.
Coming up: Avett Brothers (next week), Rilo Kiley (Sept 28), New Pornographers (Oct 28). I'd also like to see Spoon somehow, but don't know if I can fit it in. My town has shitty venues, and thus attracts zero interesting gigs. I always have to travel 2-3 hours to see someone decent.

Well I am going to see The New Pornographers again in November, and Stars in October (so long as I get to the venue in time for the final few tickets after work).

I might see Earlimart again in a month cause I heard they might play some rear old songs from them and that would be cool also I guess theyll be without theyre string team so they can play more randomly

The last concert I saw was Rufus Wainwright, with Neko Case opening. I enjoyed it, but Rufus' set was pretty long, and after only sleeping four hours out of the previous twenty-four I had some trouble staying awake towards the end. I had considered seeing the Ditty Bops on Labor Day, but since I had to go to work at midnight, I decided against it.

I'm buying tix to Kings of Leon today. I'm not a huge fan but still excited to be going. Also, planning to see TMBG soon. I've seen them before...they do a great show! |

Anna Ternheim yesterday. Nice little concert.
Next: The New Pornographers, Art Brut, Arcade Fire, The Rakes. Still unsure about the Shout Out Louds show.
So far, it's a good fall concertwise. |

Hi, Kella. No, I doubt I'll be attending any concerts in the near future. FB is playing a bunch of shows in California next month, but they're at the same time as my wife is doing a lot of traveling (including to your part of the world -- Prague, to be precise), so I'll be home with the kids. I'm not complaining, but I do wish the stars would line up a little better so I could see The Man again sometime soon.
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

Rilo Kiley are playing at my fave dance hall place tonight. Not gonna go.
Bjork is playing Friday at a pier on the waterfront. Not gonna go.
Pere Ubu playing in two weeks at the nice venue where I last saw Frank in October. Not gonna go.
Spoon's playing the same room a couple of weeks after that. Not gonna go.
A few days after that, it's the New Pornographers at the same place. Not gonna go.
