33. Fan since a friend's brother lent me Surfer Rosa in a subversive moment when I was 14. Bought everything until the first Catholics record, dipped out for a few years and came back with BLD.
I almost gave up a job interview in London because it clashed with my first chance to see Frank live. Fortunately I got to do both.

I'm 27 and know FBF since Surfer Rosa (because of my older brother), but I only began to really be a fan at the age of 14.

so with the average age being about 30
and frank being 42
whos says the younger generation does not respect their elders?
but it is safe to say that franks music spans all generations and ages
i believe his music will stand the test of time.
in my opinion he will always be ahead of his time
and he set the standard for time and imortal

I am almost 33 (Oct).
I've been a solid Frank fan since 2004...3 years.
I started with the Pixies 13 years ago - 1994, age 20 - and moved right on to Frank.

39, fan for 18 years since Doolittle.

I'm amazed at the number of times I've been totally into fb (or the Pixies), stopped listening for a while, then gotten completely and utterly hooked on him again. I'm on a big bender with him these last several weeks.

I'd rather be anywhere or doing anything

I'm 40.

Been a fan since Doolittle.
I bought every FB cd until the catolics--which I didnt like at all at first. It took a few years to grow on me--now I think that era was great a well. Dog in the Sand sold me.

I have to admit, I prefer the old quirky style via the first "yellow-orange" album through TOTY.
I'd like MORE Eric Drew Feldman and weird synthesizers and theremins. More songs about aliens, sci-fi and astrophysics. But I'll probably still buy whatever he decides to record.

I'm 31. I've been into the Pixies/FB for almost 16 years.

My older sister came home from University for Christmas break in 1991 with Nirvana and Doolittle. At first I liked Nirvana the best; but by the end of Christmas holidays the Pixies were my favorite band. They still are today!

i just turned 35. i remember la la love you coming on our alternative radio station circa 89/90 and thinkin' it starts out with "CHICKENBUTT". my circle of 3 or 4 i'm still friendly with still sing it that way. i was in a bit of a caring-about-music slump 1998-2003 or so (although i did catch frank 3 times, i didn't buy anything after pistolero), pretty much just listened to brit music, and then the pixies announced they were getting back together, the fire was relit and i went and bought devil's workshop, black letter days, and show me your tears at the same time and now i'm back in the game. i like music again, thanks frank! and FB members for sharing some your interests. although i don't love all the music you guys do i feel a little better knowing it's there and that it's ok to like what you like! i don't think i'll ever like modest mouse......blah blah blah

I'm 48. I got into FB in 93 after seeing him host 120 minutes. I thought abstract plain was a great song and I was hooked when he played just a few minutes of This is where I belong. I knew of the Pixies but did not get into them until I expanded out from TOTY to all of his work. I've seen him live many times now in many cities including 1 in another country other than my own. I have met Frank a few times before and after shows and have pics taken with him. I would luv to follow him on a European or north american tour sometime if i could find the right companion.
