Because you weren't responsible for Trout Mask Replica. Great album.
I must confess, though, I wasn't really paying attention the first time I heard it, which in retrospect was wrong. Trout Mask Replica is one of few albums that really demands your attention. |

I can listen to Trout Mask up to "a squid eating dough in a polyethylene bag is fast and bulbous. got me?" and then i crack up and stop paying attention completely.
