Hi coastline. Wait for one song to end. Click anywhere around the edges, a new one starts up. I guess they're on rotation. Download the audio files and play at your leisure. Only 4mb.

Hi coastline, the very outer left side of the screen seems to contain DMC, particularly the upper left corner. |

To find the songs:
Click on the spinning colors on the left side of the computer image. Clicking on each different color gets you a different song. To get "Dead Man's Curve", click on the yellow. |

There's always something new on FB.net isn't there? I used to visit here about once every couple months or so - now I visit pretty much daily and I'm amazed at how there's always something new to find -
These tracks sound great - I really like the "Make It Stop" (or "Skip This Part")one
but I'd like to be able to buy them from the store. Itunes has the Threshold single out today - but there is no bundle (yet).
I'm hoping that the bundle tunes are a little more produced - mainly because I remember that Dead Man's Curve was just such a hammer when I saw it live - I've been itching to get a really great version of that song. The versions I've heard are good - but I'd really like to hear either the recorded version or a really kickass live one. The one from above is good but it's not the great one I've been waiting for. Best ones I've heard so far are the two that were on the podcasts - but still wanting that definitive version that captures that jaw dropping feeling I got when I heard it live that night in St Pete.

Those two new songs are great. The Megafone one especially, sounds very interesting, lots of styles on that one, tiny bits that remind me of Pixies, Bowie, early solo FB, Catholics. This new post-nashville creative phase he's in keeps getting better and better. |

Maybe Frank decided to use a megaphone because there was a thread about it here

I would love to have a FB-record like these songs. Very raw, a bit Lo-Fi, but they sound live, they sound pure. That's what I like about it. Especially that Sweet Jesus song. FB is turning in Robert Pollard. Yes!

I confirm "Make It Stop" is actually called "Skip This Part". It was mentioned on Frank's (now dead) Mog.

Wow! Great stuff! And Rabbit's song is back in the mix.
It's a bit strange, that all the quotes are about Bluefinger but there's not one track off that album to be heard.

I remember a story at the time that Charles became so enthralled by his megaphone thingy during the recording of Doolittle that he wanted to use it all the time on every song and that Gil Norton finally talked him out of it.

On one of my few old Pixies bootleg cassettes, can't remember what show (could be Dublin circa '91, I'll have to check), during Is She Weird?, BF is using the foghorn voice thing and he goes "Your car is bitchin'-I like this thing!"
BTW, thanks a lot, Tro-real raw and nosiy soundin' stuff! |

I think the 4 demos available on the site are a kind of welcome present to us uberfans. I also think they'll be removed soon, so hurry up guys, download 'em before it's too late...
Now excuse me, I'm busy building up my new site, Francisolero :)

Agreed. I'm feeling the kind of giddy excitement I used to get about FB in '93/'94. Maybe I need to get out more. It's frustrating when 'the megaphone one' cuts out, can't wait to hear the whole thing.
