Just ordered two. Don't know why, one would do...I must've just been under Frank Black's spell for a brief moment.

Thanks 1965. That ended up working. There were some errors, but I finally noticed that something was in my basket and I was able to order. I had clicked on it four times so I had four in my basket so I bought them all. I know that's crazy but I know some people who will love a couple of those copies.
Does anyone know what the tbc means on side two? Is that like to be announced? Gracias.

Hmph. The Recordstore.co.uk site now says the single is shipping on June 4th, not May 28th like those other sites. Even the Cookingvinyl.com site says the 7" and iTunes single will be out on the 28th, though. Yet also, didn't someone say they'd already gotten it from iTunes? And whatever happened to the 7"/download bundle, is that kaput now?
Ugh, this is so confusing. Can anyone clear this up? |

Not me, but congratulations for your pseudo, this song is pure genius. Lou Reed ? Bah! Like if Lou Reed could do that! |

Since recordstore.co.uk is the one shipping the 7", I'd go with their date (June 4) over anyone else's. Including anything on the Cooking Vinyl site.
I'm not even sure what a "download bundle" is. "Bundle" to me suggests that it's merely a free download that comes bundled with an actual record, like you see often with new vinyl today. With the record, you get a code that lets you download a digital version of it.
Some people here are under the impression that the "bundle" will be 4 songs, but I've seen no evidence of that. "Threshold Apprehension" has already been released to itunes. Releasing it again to itunes seems nonsensical to me. But this is a crazy world and I don't always understand it.
Either way, June 4 is almost here so soon we'll all know what's happening. |

Yeah, this is what I was hoping; that they'd let you download the tracks if you bought the 7" so you don't have to record them yourself. I was never under the impression it'd be any more than the (apparently) 2 songs from the 7" itself, but then again, Cooking Vinyl isn't explaining itself, so who knows?

Yeah, you'd think it'd be in the record company's interests to make it clear from the start, though. I don't want to preorder the vinyl if there's a 'bundle' coming, but if there isn't, then they've lost a sale. Sheesh. |

Yeah. When I first read the news of this, I assumed on my own that the "bundle" just meant a free download with the 7".
It wasn't until I read people discussing it here that I began to get confused. I figured maybe "bundle" was some common thing in digital downloading that I didn't know about (since I rarely acquire music by downloading it).
And, as you point out, the label hasn't said anything about the "bundle" being several bonus tracks and, in fact, the "bundle" is given same date as the 7". So, I'm going back to my original assumption.
I'll be surprised if the "bundle" is anything other than a free download of "Threshold" and "Get Away Oil" with purchase of the 7". |

I do not have a turntable and never have. Wish I did. I still want Threshold Apprehension 7" even if I will not be able to play it. It would be a great collector item to have.
Maybe I will grin but I won’t bear

I don't have a turntable set up, but I do have one. I'll probably never listen to the 7" unless I can't find "Get Away Oil" online.

It looks great, a bit like a Jesus And Mary Chain album. It's totaly retro, except it's not video/TV pixel we got there, it's clearly a computer grid of pixels like an internet compression, could this be from a possible youtube black francis homemade video for T A ??! Between this new artwork, the small but looking great blackfrancis.net, and the possibility of having a Brood painting for the artwork of Bluefinger, I notice the "visual" side of Charles Thompson's work is totaly back in form! It might not be very important for pure music fans, but a LOT of people care about that. I guess I do to, a little. It's good to have good looking artwork along with good sounding music. Now WHAT is a good looking artwork? Well, everybody has different tastes, let's just say if you stay simple, it cant be bad. Photoshop easy effects (the threated FMRM picture) or letter with brown reflects (the first FB and the C's LP) are not my idea of simplicity.

As Frank Black work ever had a visual side? I've always got the feeling that Frank had kind of a «Yeah, ok, whatever» attitude towards the artwork of his albums...? |

I've often gotten that impression with the post-Pixies albums.
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |
