Didn't know whether to put this here or in the live section, so:
I also read The Fall forum on a fairly regular basis and in the news section is this: "I thought I'd drop you a line to tell you that I will be playing bass for Pixies frontman Mr Frank Black over the summer. I haven't got all the dates yet, but the ones I have so far, I've listed on my Myspace page. Needless to say I'm very excited about the prospect and am greatly looking forward to it."
The Myspace page in question is: http://www.myspace.com/thehiredhelp |

This is fun... "March 26th : (It's my birthday today) Dates for Frank Black's summer tour have started apprearing on his page ....so I've added 'em here too......am very busily learning his tunes in my spare time at the moment."
(from his myspace blog) Hey, I'm happy to help FB sidemen know about their tour schedule...

That's the guy who played bass on PJ Harvey's last tour...he's on the (excellent) tour DVD that came out. EDF wasn't in that band, but there's a little more PJ-Frank crossover. |

AH, very interesting link, then.
And Brian, that picture is so so wrong, but utterly brilliant. |

If they are going on tour this Summer you would think Bluefinger will be released before the tour. Let's hope.

Yeah, I'd agree, but the tour, I suppose, is largely in support of the 'Best Of', which'd make sense. Hiring a guy who hasn't played on any of the records, to play on cherrypicked tunes from the FB back catalogue. |

How do I contact Frank and make this happen. I really am the drummer he needs this summer. |

Great point Ziggy. I didn't even think of that. If it is a best of tour I am surprised he wouldn't being EDF out with him again.
