?!?!?!
Holy hell! Stupendous find.
Who did he record this with, I wonder?
I hope a full-length version surfaces somehow.

Yeah, that's a pretty good track (despite the annoying gunshots of the VG). Do they usually release soundtracks from videogames? I hope it appears at least on iTunes.

Good song, but dissapointing it's associated with such violence. |

Some big games do get soundtrack releases. Considering the first GRAW was fairly well received i wouldn't be surprised if there was one for the sequel

I guess it made him think to NARC, an arcade game of the 80s that the pixies covered the theme with a similar hard rocking sound. It was also a comando game, some kind of ancester to this one Did he phoned his pal ex gun n roses for that ? (cant remember the name)

When i heard there was a remake of NARC in development a few years back (It came out in 2004 I think, and was apparently very crap) i thought they'd put the pixies version in it. But a trailer i saw had "golden brown" playing instead

Golden brown ? The softer of the stranglers songs ? I guess it was kinda ironic. |

If I'm correct, "Golden Brown" is about heroin addiction...

Golden Brown was also the stage name used by one of Danko Jones' old band members. Maybe he quit the touring rock world to go make video game music? I doubt that's the case, and there are probably dozens of folks who have used it as a stage name over the years.

I should also mention this might be my favourite Stooges song, and I couldn't be more excited to hear about Frank giving it a go. Let's pray it gets a proper release. He should start doing compilations of old punk covers like this.

Sorry Dean, but I don't think this is gonna appear in the news page anytime soon. I haven't seen any mod around here in the last couple of weeks.

Well, now that he IS the Pixies frontman again, that's more accurate than it used to be.

Anyone read the comments on the trailer page yet? It appears the producer is trying to make this available, according to the following quote:
-------------------------------------------- 14. We are working with our distribution partners and the publishing rights holder to get this version of the song out for digital distribution at or around the time the game hits store shelves.

Maybe worth a mention... Looks like there isn't a hard copy of the completed song on a soundtrack/CD or iTunes yet though.

Steps? What steps? Like the super group Steps you constantly have on rotation 'round your house?
