I bought a six pack of Peroni last night. Had my first tonight, and I liked it. It's a dead ringer, though, for Moosehead, a Canadian beer. Kind of middle of the road, but still very enjoyable. (It's beer, after all.)
Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho? |

kronenberg used to be the only "lager" that i'd actually enjoy drinking in England. i found all the others, especially stella, pretty awful. It was ales and bitters all the way for me!!! and the kronenberg white beer was pretty interesting, if you could find it.
and countries beer consumption per capita is pretty interesting: Rank Country Consumption (L/yr) 1 Czech Republic 156.9 2 Ireland 131.1 3 Germany 115.8 4 Australia 109.9 5 Austria 108.3 6 United Kingdom 99.0 7 Belgium 93.0 8 Denmark 89.9 9 Finland 85.0 10 Luxembourg 84.4 11 Slovakia 84.1 12 Spain 83.8 13 United States 81.6 14 Croatia 81.2 15 Netherlands 79.0 16 New Zealand 77.0 17 Hungary 75.3 18 Poland 69.1 19 Canada 68.3 20 Portugal 59.6
And Darwin, Australia tops the list of the most drunk in a city, with an average of 230 litres per person per year...
now, i've been to all but 5 of those countries, and the Czech Republic certainly stands out as also producing the best beer in the world as well as drinking the most. Absolutely delicious!
but seriously disappointed with new zealands position. i'm certainly doing my bit to get us up higher....come on, start pulling your weight!
all i can say, thank god for polio! brian |
