ENGLAND 1st Inns 157
AUSTRALIA 2nd Inns 1/202 dec.
ENGLAND 2nd Inns 370
(AUS won by 277 runs).
A fairly comprehensive shellacking. Not good reading for the England fans out there. Plenty of work to do if they're going to make any serious challenge. 2nd Test starts tommorrow-friday 1st Dec. Is there any hope for the Poms?

uh, no hope. Without Vaughan (inspirational captain) and Trescothick they have little chance. Add to that the fact that none of the bowlers are pulling their weight (wasn't Flintoff their best bowler in the first test?) then they are stuffed. If they lost Flintoff it would probably be 5-0.

| I'm an aussie but until there are some likeable players in the team I am firmly rooting for the opposition.....Warne, Ponting, McGrath, Lee, some of the most arrogant unlikeable sportsmen going round, throw in Gilchrist with his holier-than-thou walking when he's out, yet he blatantly appeals for dismissals he knows aren't out....the days of the loveable aussies like Big Merv, Boonie, AB, Dean Jones, Waugh Bros are long gone......unfortunately a home victory seems inevitable unless Harmison learns how to bowl away from home and they play Panesar. Also the poms need Watson to get fit so the Aussies will play him, because he is rubbish. |

to be honest, if Scotland had the most unlikeable football players ever, yet we were humping every team that came our way(especially England ;), I'd be a happy man.
I don't understand why you wouldn't support your national team, Don Eduardo.
