lol, seriously. None of the lyrics you guys posted ever struck me as being gay. Maybe it's because I don't have gay on the mind.

What's gay is this thread.

Oh, and Kicked in the Taco is SO gay. :)

I could not find my honeycomb.

Frank's a hermaphrodite. That's why so many of his songs have something to do with hermaphrodites. Only a hermaphrodite could impregnate a woman, while simultaneously being kicked in the taco.

I was going to leave this topic alone, but after being called out repeatedly, I'll go against my better judgement and say more.
For goodness sake, I don't think I've been so repeatedly misunderstood in quite awhile.
I knew when I included the lyrics to fiddle riddle that the song is actually about the earth (that's why I included misinterpretation in my explanation).
The New Bolero, I'm totally comfortable with the intermingling of rock and homoeroticism (anyone who doubts that the two can "go together" should listen to some of the great music by bands like queen, pet shop boys, bob dylan, etc. etc.) and no, I don't subscribe to the school of bill o'reilly.
No need to be condescending, Mrgrieves1971, I think I repeatedly wrote that I wasn't asserting that Frank Black is or is not homosexual, but I do appreciate the star wars reference =).
Jefery, thanks for your comments and your thoughtfulness in expressing them. I agree that, in the huge vastness that is the Frank Black song base, there is room for multiple interpretations and perspectives.

There's that bit of Pixies banter (Doolittle or Surfer Rosa?) where Kim says, "There were rumors he was into field hockey players," and Black Francis replies, laughing, "So I applied. I went out for the team." I always wondered what the hell that meant.

Don't let it bug you or chase you away. Almost anytime anybody goes where this topic does they get shit like this. It stimulates some insecurities and some folks feel the need to assert their tolerance, their masculinity, or whatever it is.

Kicked in the Taco could be asexual. Or B-sexual. I mean, everyone's got a taco!

Haha yes

"So you think only a woman
can truly love a man.
Well you buy me the dress
I'll be more woman
than a man like you can stand."

“Not since Orson Welles had one man so many fingers in so many pies, and been the chef as well. And then looked like he went and ate them all. The guy was out of control.”
