Good Morning All and Happy, Happy Monday to YOU! I greet you on this beautiful morning in the gracious and giving name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! What a glorious day this is to be alive. I greet you with peace in my heart, mind and spirit on today. Knowing the God is still God and He always will be. This is yet another day that YOU have not seen before. It is a day to rejoice and be glad in it. This day has been ordained just for you! I am experiencing a brand new mercy! How about you?
Genesis 12: 1-3 - The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
Is God calling you out of your familiar place?
Are you familiar with the way things have always been? Are you so familiar that you do not leave room for God to do anything new in your life?
We have all heard the saying " getting out the box", well this morning, I challenge you to "get out of the familiar".
Is God trying to do something new in your life? Are you holding on to the things of the past?
Have you become so familiar with God that you no longer expect miracles to happen?
There are times in each of our lives when we clearly know (see) that God is shifting us. He is orchestrating change. He is pruning us and preparing us for greater things. There are times when we clearly hear Him say, leave that person alone, change your way of thinking, adjust your lifestyle, pray more, eat less, fast more, but yet in still , we have become so familiar with comfort that we refuse to hear and obey the voice of God.
I challenge you this moring to do away with the spirit of familiarity.
Open yourself up for blessings, miracles and breakthroughs.
Make it an EXCELLENT day!

I suspect this guy's post will piss off some people, but I don't think his proselytizing is so far out of the normal for this forum. It's just that he's singing the praises of a different guy than the usual one on here. Our guy is a little balder, rounder and older than his guy, but it's all the same. His guy says, "Blessed are the peace makers." Our guy says, "Jesus was right, yeah I don't wanna fight at all." His guy says, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Our guy: "I was all dressed in black, she was all dressed up in black." His guy walked on water. Our guy sings about water in just about every other song. His guy asked that you tithe to the church. Our guy, well, he's a Ten Percenter himself.
God bless Frank.

I get this impression a lot.
Yeah so it's not what the guy has to say that's the problem it's the spammish nature. Nobody likes dump and run posters. We used to get a lot like these, we had one guy posting about Islam because he'd googled Catholics and end up with here I think. He stuck around for a bit though, popped up every now and then with some random passages and got sucked into the board a little I think.
The less talk about the Happy Mondays the better though, yeesh.
Does the thread want locking? Do we think he's going to come back and discuss if he prefers the Pixies Frank or his new Nashville sound? Am I too lazy to think for myself on this one? |

Coastline, I think that that is the most insightful comment that I have read on this forum.
As far as this debate goes, from a spam perspective it's really annoying. But the religious spams vs. the scam spams sometimes lead to a healthy debate. But this is coming from someone who lets the Mormons and Jehovah Wittnesses into my house because I like the discussion. |

I'm not reading all that, I already saw the passion of the christ. And much like the aforementioned cat, I too took a dump today.

I'd say lock it Kitty. We don't need another religious thread for such debates. We have plenty of old ones we could revive.
The poster is clearly no fan of Frank's.
EDIT: Oh and I'm sorry for the Happy Monday's quote. I felt dirty posting it.
