OK, I'll try to do these too, but the question is, who wants to help take this project over/volunteer for FB.Net. If you're interested, send me an email. I can't make it as great/comprehensive as I'd like on my own.
Incidentally, I uploaded the Rockpalast DVD someone sent me in four parts. Pretty darn good, check it out. I'm using my new Mac for good and not evil.
Also incidentally, what causes a movie to be flagged as copyrighted - they took the video with Conan down although there are plenty of others (Kilborn, Letterman) that remain? Thoughts?
"Now you're officially my woman. Kudos. I can't say I don't envy you."
Oh Dean, will i ever be anymore than some one to you, tell me so that i can move on with my anonymous existence. |

Very nice. 'Wheels' sounds very similar to the NSE version!
And 'Corrina'. Fucking hell. Love that song. |

Damn, wish he enlisted those guys to tour NSE when it came out. Corrina's pretty great and I always love Black's "Come on wheels" yell.
Wonderful version of Thalassocracy above too. |

Oh yeah, I came across this, hadn't seen it before and it hasn't amassed too many views. Not one of my favourite songs (nor is it one I dislike) but this is a nice rendition.

The date can't be right. Must have been June 7th 1996.

Is that the one where he telepathically gives NME their exclusives? |

The Dublin precore looked amazing, witnessing it from the outside in was great. Were you there Maharal? Carl, where were you? |

Yup I certainly was. It was my first time seeing the Man himself. At around 5 o'clock when BF was supposed to play the Gardaí came along as they wanted to close the park (my friend shouted "you fuckin' die" at them, which elicited a good laugh from the crowd) so everyone started shuffling out, a bit despondent. Then there was a small cheer and a lot of running - it turned out he was playing outside the park on the pavement wearing a nice blue hat. He was surrounded by dozens of people so I couldn't really make him out (even though most people seemed to be on their knees) and I only could hear bits and pieces of songs. Didn't really matter - it was brilliant fun and an electric atmosphere. He got mobbed once he moved around to sign autographs and stuff afterwards: I got him to sign the Big Lebowski t-shirt I was wearing whilst talking nervously at him. Then of course a Gardaí car took him away cos of the big obstruction to traffic (worth noting that this was adjacent to what's probably the busiest street in Ireland). Just a crazy 15 minutes. As a 16-year-old who'd been playing a hell of a lot of FB at the time, I found it all wonderfully crazy. Made my day/year.
The gig later was pretty good too. Hope he does another tour of Europe with a backing band. |
