Is there any love from the frank black faithful for jeffrey lee pierce? Have been buying the back catalogue recently and think it is a stunning body of work, especially fire of love and miami, if you do not have them go buy now! The main reason i post is that i just watched a live gig of theirs and in terms of the line up reminded me of the pixies, female bass player and guitar similar in nature to joey. Just interested in what you guys thought as all my friends have opposite taste to me and don't want to know, thanks! |

Gun Club were a fantastic band. It'd be cool to see what FB could do with 'Mother Of Earth' In related news, Kid Congo Powers is currently on the road: (I should probably make the 10 minute drive to see him tonight)

I only know Fire of Love and Mother Juno, but I definitely love these records. She's like heroin to me is an absolute classic in my opinion. |

I have heard of them but have never heard anything by them. Is it possible to describe them? Musically that is.

Several of their tracks have made appearances during the CD Swaps, Mike.

I always lump them in with rockabilly. Maybe that's unfair.

Cool, thanks Scott. I'll look through them when I get home.
