there are a few very good "bootleg" live albums available...
the best imo is the regina show from 2003...
thats a ripper, but there are some very good early shows floating around too....

yes, though instead of one show all the way through, I'd rather have, say, 15 songs from different shows- maybe the best performances from the current full-band shows.

By the way- I was kind of disappointed by both versions of "The Black Rider" from BLD. It was a thousand times better when I saw him start a show with it in 2000 ( "Let's break the ice w/ some Tom Waits..." ).

Thanks for giving me a reason to want yet more from FB. :P

An actual live album could be cool, yes sir.

True. There's several of these floating around (pre-breakup Pixies' Transatlantic's a good one) but I think an officially sanctioned, widely released live album''s the idea here. Frank?

If only the Cafe du Nord shows in March had been professionally recorded and mixed. The one that's floating around is amazing, despite its being a bootleg. My other favorite is the FB&C show from Malmoe, Sweden, in 2003.

I managed to find the Black Sessions in South Dakota, so it had to have had a relatively wide release, though I still wouldn't consider it an official release.
