I am drunk. Let's do this chronologically. I showed up. A bunch of old timers were in the house. I was playing pool by myself. The old timers? Jon "the man" Tiven, and assorted others, PF Sloan. He started by saying "let's get this out of the way".....SECRET AGENT MAN!!!!!! frank and duane jarvis and duane's sweet ms's showed up just prior to this. PF Sloan's set was great. anyone familiar with his shit would appreciate it. Billy Block on drums, Duane Jarvis on guitar. Mitch Weissman on bass, And Jon Tiven goin off on lead!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway. then the jackass started dancing. My name is bonedry and i caught some flack at the last cafe du nord show, but let me specify: i sang along and when i was told to shut up. me shut up. movimg right along. at the end, a bunch of people started yelling "eve of destruction". but couldn't even sing the words. more momentarily |

plus more....can't think of 'em now. but basicallly he went around the band, and said "what's your pick?" duane jarvis is smooth. billy block is a fun loving dilletante. frank said something about duane's frame's. i pointed out eric's frames. there was talk of lens crafters. i brought up buddyy holly. dude, i saw duane in the bathroom. and we started talking about the tom petty shows and how they were expensive. everyone see them when they tour, the fb band is good to go. just a jolly jaunt through the land of the priveledged and free...........NADINE WAS THE FIRST SONG THEY PLAYED. |

also. the best song title ever................"I'M NOT DEAD, I'M IN PITTSBURG", with a shout out to the beloved curmudgeon Ried Paley. Let me stress again the annoyance of a guy screaming (and at one point going on the stage) as well as a guitar store owner (who bought me a beer and a shot) who would not shut up between songs(all he wanted was 666 and that album) . frank's banter was funny, but everyone in the crowd couldn't enjoy it and wanted to kill them (the two guys). |

Thanks for all the info. Those guys must have been annoying. Still, I can't wait to hear a boot of these forthcoming shows. So excited about this band. |

and "DEADMAN'S CURVE" sorry i keep posting , but my crack head neighbour came up so i've been listening to him and writing, frank also said something about how you can't copyright song titles. he also, at one point, said, "is this already on youtube?" and yes, when he pretended to throw that guy a chill pill, it was the funniest shit ever. i'll stop now. very fortunate. good thing it's a somewhat extensive tour. oh yeah, that jackass? when frank said he didn't want that shot that the guitar store guy's girlfriend put at his feet, captain douchebag grabbed it and chugged it... to a very vocal round of disapproval. good crowd. rock on PF Sloan. Frank thanks..... |

'Captain Douchebag', haha.
Nah, it's great to have all this info. 'Deadman's Curve' with the full band must be interesting. We in the UK are still praying for a tour! |

Oops. Wonder if that's a shot at my crappy video on youtube. I only did it for the fans here. And if it needs to come down, I'll take it down.
Thanks for the review, bonedry. Next time drink more, you'll be less annoyed.

No, don't encourage him, he'll sing again ;)
I wouldn't worry about the video, though. I guess if it were putting him off, FB'd say. |
